Another Luke Brooks Love Story

Awkward School Day

I woke up to my loud ass alarm 6:00 in the morning a little earlier than usual so i can walk to school myself i don't feel like driving with Luke at the moment. I roll out of bed and into the bathroom. I take a 10 minute shower. Once i get out i put on a minimal amount of makeup and head into the wardrobe. It's gonna be really hot today so i decide to be really cheeky and wear short shorts and a light blue crop top that hugs my torso a little. I let my long brown wavy hair flow. I put on a pair of white vans and head downstairs. I see Luke still sleeping on the couch so i tip toe to the kitchen trying no to wake him up. I grab myself 2 granola bars and a bottle of orange juice. I grab my bag and keys to the house and head out the door. Slightly relieved i turn around and lock the door behind me and start walking. As i'm walking a black car pulls up next to me. I don't know what to do so i pick up the pace as i'm walking. "Kaya?" a familiar male voice says. I turn to look and see a familiar set of green eyes staring at me. Beau. "Beau?!" "hey beautiful..what are you doing all by yourself? Doesn't Luke take you to school?" Just hearing his name makes me wince. As flashbacks from last night flood into my head. I look down trying to hide my emotions. "Do you want a ride? we can talk about it later if you want." i give him a warm smile which he returns. "I kinda got a full car at the moment so you can sit on one of the boys lap or something." I give him a startled look. Like excuse me hello do you expect me to casually sit on one of your laps. "what...it's not like we have a disease or some shit." you've got a point. I climb in the front and sit on Jai's lap. He doesn't seem to mind much but me on the other hand...i'm freaking out. I have a boyfriend am i supposed to be doing this?!? I feel his arms wrap around me and i tense up a little. "relax i'm just trying to get comfortable" i hear him snort. I calm myself down and go on my phone for a little.

*10 min later*

We finally arrive at school. As soon as we park i quickly get out the door so it's no longer awkward. I don't think i can look at him the same after that whole situation. Then i get a text. Luke...great.

Lukey-Bear

Luke: hey where are you?

I decide not to answer since i'm still a little pissed about yesterday. I stuff my phone into my back pocket and walk with the boys into school. I walk in...all eyes on us for some reason. Then i realize what i'm wearing it's not appropriate at all. But i decide to walk with confidence. I get to my locker and the boys crowd around me. "we should hang out today, maybe just walk around the shops for a little." i say. I haven't seen them in a long time so i decide i want to hang out with them. "ya sure that sounds fun, you guys up for it?" Beau says looking at the boys. They all nod. YAY!! "alright i'll see you guys later then...is there a specific time you wanna go?" "ya maybe around three?" "that sounds fine" i say as i close my locker and head off to class. "bye!" "BYEEEE!" they all say in unison...maybe a bit too loud. I walk into social studies class locking eyes with Luke. I look away awkwardly. I would usually sit next to him, but i decide to sit next to this girl that i talk to once in a while. Her name is Ashley. She's a tall blonde girl with crystal blue eyes. "hey!" i say. "hi Kaya what's up?"she say's in a cheery voice. She's always happy i wish i could be like that every single day.  "nothing much...just wishing i wasn't here...i hate school and it's only Wednesday!" "ya same...it fells like a Friday doesn't it?" "Ya it does" Our conversation is interrupted by Mr.Anderson walking into our classroom.

*40 minutes later*

Class is over finally. I walk with Ashley to next period. "hey i was wondering if you'd like to hang out after school with me and some friends?" i ask...i finally realize that i don't have any friends that are girls...not that it's a bad thing but ya know. "ya that sounds fun...what do you mean by friends?" "Daniel, Jai, Beau, and James." She blushes as i say James's name. Does she like him? "what?...do you like James?!" she looks at me startled blushing a deep crimson red. "James what are you kidding me who would like...ya ya i do" she says smiling and blushing a rosey pink while looking down. "OH MY GOD!!!..i could hook you guys up, you guys would be so cute!!" "could you do that for me?" she says trying to hold back a smile. "of course...i mean that's what friends are for right?" i say nudging her in the arm playfully. She giggles. "thanks" "no problem" we finally make it to art. Yet another class that me and Luke have together. I don't know anybody else here so i decide to sit next to him. I could feel the tension growing as i walk closer to him and my hearts beating faster. Why am i nervous?! I take a seat next to him not making any eye contact Mrs.yang thankfully begins class. 

*5 minutes later*

She ends her little speech and we begin our sketches. But it's a partner project your supposed to draw one another. But lucky me everybody is partnered up with each other except for me and Luke. "so...do you wanna work together?" Luke finally says to break the silence. "ya i guess" i'm still trying not to make eye contact with him. "hey...look at me for a second." he says oh no. I turn my face to him but i don't look directly at his eyes. i decide to look behind him. "look...i'm sorry...ok yeah i know i fucked up i don't know what was wrong with me." I finally decide to look into his eyes. I could see sorrow and guilt and he looks tired. "that night...i was just busy." what were you doing on your phone that made you busy? "Busy doing what?!?!...what where you doing on your phone that made you so busy that you couldn't just came upstairs to sleep with me hm?!" "Kaya...i said i was sorry..." "why can't you tell me what you were doing?! are you cheating on me?!"ideas start flowing into my head. What if he's cheating on me...is he talking to another girl?...is she prettier than me?... He looks at me with shock in his eyes. "Kaya...i would never do that....i was working on something and i promise you, you'll like it." he gives a smile. I smile back at him. "that's good to know...maybe i over exaggerated a little bit." "a little bit?" he says cocking an eyebrow. "oh shut up" i say playfully punching his arm. "do you wanna hang out with me, my friend and the boys later today?" "ya that sounds fine" the bell then rings for lunch. We din't get any work done...not surprising to be honest. We walk out of class together hand in hand. I'm happy we could be together again. Even though it was just yesterday i mean i did miss him. As we walk to our table the boys gave us a weird look. "i thought you guys got into a fight or something?" jai asks looking at our hands and back up at us. "ya we were but this one decided to say sorry." i say pointing to Luke. he chuckled and gave me a kiss on the cheek as we sit down. "so anyway... what's happening after school today?" Beau asks to break the silence. "oh yeah i invited two other people if that's ok?" "it depends who are 'these people'" "Luke of course and this girl named Ashley." "yeah that's fine." "you guys could come by my house and we could hang out there until three, we head to the shops and then we leave around six?" "sounds like a plan...wait isn't there no school tomorrow anyway because they have meetings!" Beau says with excitement in his voice. "oh my god that's true i heard it on announcements this morning...maybe after the shops we could come back to mine and watch a movie?" "sounds like a plan" "you guys could sleep over as well if you want."

*4 hours later*

It's the end of the school day i head to my locker with Luke. I grab all my stuff and we walk around to find the others. We found the boys in the gym and Ashley is no where to be found. Did she forget about the plan? i decide to call her since i'm no there to waist any of my free time with my friends. She picks up after two rings. "hello?" i hear her sweet voice say from the other end. "Hey Ashley where are you?" she sighs. "I'm sorry but i can't make it today i'm busy with school work and we have a test on Friday so..." great now i'm the only girl stuck with these inappropriate fools. i sigh. "ok that's fine, maybe we can hang out some other time." "i'm so sorry it's just..." I cut her off "it's fine i swear i need to go anyway..." "please don't be mad at me!" she says grief in her voice. "Ashley it's fine i swear i got to go!" "ok bye i'll talk to you later." "Bye!" Who quits plans with friends for school work. I know she's all goody goody but she can't at least hang out with me for a little? "is she coming?" James asks with excitement in his voice. "no she has 'school work' to do." i roll my eyes and quote the words 'school work'. James's expression changes from happy to depressed. "oh" he says blankly with no expression on his face. "she said she would like to hang out some other time...maybe this weekend?" i try to lighten the mood. He weakly smiles. "really?" he says cocking an eyebrow. "of course...anything for my friends." i hug him. I guess he likes her back. honestly i think they would be the cutest couple.  "let's head to my house then?" Luke takes his hand in mine and we head off to my car. My skin burning by his touch. I've really missed his touch ever since the whole fight thing. I know it was only for a day but i can't stay away from him. I don't know what it is. Do i love him. LOVE?!? no way.
