Coming out the station I couldn't help but feel overjoyed. I didn't want to even think of the possibility of someone looking for him and having to give him back I put that at the very back of my mind.

If anyone had told me a few days back that I would be a mother of a child I would have laughed in their faces. I'm single as fuck and not indulging in those sort of activities at this moment so the thought wouldn't have crossed my mind.

On the ride home Xander was getting fussy so I decided to go to the big shopping centre to buy everything my baby needs.

My baby......it sounds weird when I say it but I love it.

We arrived there and I went to buy 1st stage formula first so I could feed him.

I took a large amount of money from my bank account and sent a silent prayer to Josh and Elinor, the couple I mentioned earlier as the money raised towards the cottage was going towards something good. I know they would have been overjoyed.

I bought so many formulas, bottles, baby items in mostly blue, white, grey or red, a few dummys, 24 packets of wipes and 25 boxes of nappies, baby creams, shampoos, baby oils, 6 blue towels, 2 blue sponges, a soap bar and a few medicine appropriate for Xanders age.

I quickly went to pay and got them ordered to my cottage tonight.

I then went to the café called Expresso yourself. The line wasn't long and I was fast to order and iced coffee and a scone. I sat at an empty table and made up a bottle for Xander.

Xander drank his food very quickly and burbed as I rubbed his back.

"Good boy. Mummy loves you" I say as I kiss his head full of hair.

Xander seemed very advanced for a baby supposedly a new born.

Xander grabbed a handful my hair when my phone rang.

I looked at the screen to see it was my mother calling.

Panic filled me I had forgotten to tell them about Xander.

M=mum         j=jane

M: hello darling!

J: hello mum.

M: I was just inviting John to dinner we having tomorrow and your uncle tells my that you have something important to tell me?

J: ya I do but I would rather say it over dinner some time soon when everyone is there.

M: ok darling that's fine, I was calling anyways to invite you to come over for dinner tomorrow at 6, your brothers are coming home.

Xander starts to fuss in my hands trying to get my attention from my phone to him.

J: ok mum I have to go I'll see you tomorrow love you.

M: I love you too dear.

Then I hung up.

"Aww baby you don't want mommy to talk to grandma" I said giving him a kiss on the nose

I put the money from my purse on the table before standing up with Xander.

"Come on lets go buy you a buggy and carseat" I say.

Me and Xan go to the babyRus and buy a blue 3 piece buggy, a blue/white/brown cot, blue and white paint, blue & white car seat, a wood wardrobe, a baby bag so I could pop his things he would need now, a few blankets, bibs and many many onies, pjs, vets, jackets, gloves, jumpers etc.

My baby Xan was very quiet and would coo at random times. He's such a happy baby.

Who would ever leave thier baby out alone in the forest.

All together it was around €3,867.41 for everything. I didn't even mind at all, this was only the start of it. I was ready to spend more on him.

When we got home I made Xan another bottle as he drifted off to sleep not once letting go of his tight grip on me.

The men with the delivery came and set up his new room which was white, blue and brown with his name on the wall and door.

I bid them goodbyes and walk to my room with my baby in my arm.

I changed his nappie then brought him to his room. I swaddled him, laid him feet at end end of the cot (safe sleeping) and kissed his forehead. I left the door half shut, turned on the baby monitor and I went to the kitchen. I packed away all my babies items, separating things to stay in my bedroom, sitting room and kitchen. I headed to my room, set my alarm for tomorrow so I could be up early in the morning and organise Xans bag, what we will wear when we meet my parents.

The last thing I did before I slept was think.

I hope my family approves of me having my baby boy.

No matter what anyone says Xan is mine. Even if I'm not his blood or biological mother. He will always be mine.
