The Baby

Chapter 4

Janes pov

I wake up at 5am so I could go put a bottle in the warmer for Xan. I woke him up and fed him a bottle and changed his nappie before putting him back to sleep. I lay in bed for an hour and a half with him sleeping before getting up to make myself breakfast.

I make eggs, toast, baked beans, rashers for me and placed a bottle in the warmer for Xan.
Those bottle warmers are amazing honestly.

Just as I was finished my breakfast I heard my babys cry on the baby monitor.

I still cant believe I'm a mother now.

I ran up the stairs and into my room to attend to him.

"It's okay Xan, mommys here. Lets go drink milk." he instantly quietens down, looking curiously at me.

We got down stairs and I give my baby his milk as he focuses on me. I looked into his blue eyes as he sucks on the nipple of the bottle. When he was finished I burped him.  He seemed to love having his back rubbed.

I could already see he want taking way more mls than he was yesterday.

I brushed that off thinking I've experience with baby girls not boys. This can be normal because boys need more food than girls. I won't deprive my baby of more milk if that's what he wants.

The bell rang and in came my best friends Leah and Emily using a key I gave them.

They came in screaming and about to jump into my arms like they always do when they saw Xan. They stopped, looked at me then Xan then me again.

"OMG SHE HAS A BABY!"
"WHAT'S HIS NAME?"
"HOW OLD IS HE?"
"WHEN WERE YOU PREGGO?"
"WHO IS THE FATHER?"

I had enough of their questions and Xan started to whimper from how loud they were being.

"SHUT THE HELL UP" I whisper shout.

They all looked at me in shock.

"Ok I'm going to answer your questions now" I said as they calmed down

"Ok so he is my baby, his name is Xander Josh Murry, he is 6 days old, I was never pregnant I couldn't be pregnant in two days after you saw me and I dont know who his father is" I told them as if I was talking to a little child.

"You adopted him?" Emily said.

"Yes....I did." and then I began to tell them about yesterdays events.

In the end they were crying and giving Xan a kiss and hugs.

"Hi baby we are your aunts" they said sniffing.

"Guys can ye mind him while I go take a shower" I hesitantly asked.

"Ya we would love to!" they screamed excitedly.

"Can ye not scream your scaring my baby" I scold them

I handed Xan to leah and he started to cry.

"What do I do" leah asked worrying about my crying baby

"he done that to my uncle too" I laughed taking him back into my arms and he stopped crying.

"Aaawwhhhhh he is such a mama's boy already" Emily says in awe

I talked to Xan before vibing him to Leah  "mommy's gonna go for a shower. I will be back, stay with your aunts baby don't cry" then I kissed his forehead.

He seemed to understand and didn't start to cry. His eyes never left me until I was gone up the stairs out of his eye view which weirdly enough seemed quiet a distance a baby his age should not be seeing yet.

I walked to my bedroom and into my bathroom and before I closed the door I listened to hear if my baby was crying but when I didn't hear anything I took my shower.
