Ugh those boys act up to much around cute girls. But I can't believe that Aphmau girl is going to be queen. I didn't even know we had princess and the I never knew the queen gave birth. I never knew the queen but I heard she was a great person.

"Um was it Aaron." I heard Aphmau say. I turned around and saw her. Ok I'm being honest she was really beautiful.

"Lady Aphmau you look very beautiful." I said. She blushed and looked down.

"I'm not even queen yet and you already start calling me lady. Please don't. I never like being formally spoken to. Just call me Aph or Aphmau." She said.

"Oh of course." I said. She smiled at me and I smiled back.

"Hey you have dimples." She said.

"Huh. Oh yea I think that's from my father." I said.

"I honestly think dimples are cute." Aph said. Wait did she just say I was cute.

"Um are you calling me cute." I said.

"Oh no I'm not saying that. I mean you are but arg." She said and I laughed. She was cute flustered.

"I was just kidding. You actually look cute confused and flustered." I said and she blushed.

"Aaron I need you to watch Aphmau for the next few months. An assassin is after her since they somehow found out we have a princess. Just keep an eye on her until we catch the assassin." Garroth said.

"Sure. Of course." I said and he nodded and walked away.

"Oh by the way I could hear you messing with her. It's not very polite to do that to your future queen." Garroth said walking away making me blush a little.

"Didn't know he was here." I said.

"Guess you're my personal guard until the assassin is caught." Aphmau said and I smiled.

"Yup now what do you want to do." I said. She thought for a moment then pulled me to a cliff with a cherry blossom tree.

"I've seen this tree and cliff in my dreams before and when I saw it yesterday I wanted to see it close up." She said and walked up to the tree.

"I heard the queen's grave is under the tree. Her husband grew the tree over her grave to always remember her." I said and she sat down near the pond that was under the tree.

"Almost every dream I've had over my life I saw this exact spot and exact tree and pond. I always wondered what it meant and now I do. My mother is here and it's saying I'm home for good. Last night I saw the tree again and I remembered seeing the tree earlier during the day and wanted to see it." She said and I sat next to her.

"Knowing what dreams mean is always something I learned from Falcon Claw." She said and looked at me.

"What was your life like before you became a guard." She said.

"Um my mother died when I was five and my father would always teach me to be a guard so I never really hung out with the village kids." I said.

"Really." She said.

"Yea I would always train with my father on how to be a guard. I was also taught how to be a gentleman to women and he also taught me how to withstand and survive in places around the world." I said. She smiled at me and I looked up at the sun. It was starting to set so I started to get up.

"Aphmau the sun's setting we should go." I said.

"Oh I've never actually seen a sunset over an ocean." She said and walked passed the tree to see the sunset. I walked up next to her and she sat down.

"Oh come on and watch the sunset with me." She said pulled me down. I sat next to her and looked at her. She looked so beautiful with the sunset shining on her. Her hair was glistening and flowing in the wind. Her eyes were sparkling in the sunset and she looked so adorable.

"Aphmau you know the sun makes you look beautiful." I said and she blushed.

"T-T-Thanks." She said and looked down. She yawned and rested her head on my shoulder.

"You tired?" I asked.

"Yea. It's been a long day." She said and closed her eyes. She soon fell asleep and I smiled. I picked her up and carried her back to the castle. I walked to the castle and walked in. I saw Lily standing there talking to Garroth.

"Um where exactly is her room." I said and they looked at me.

"Um first door on the left." Lily said and I walked to Aph's room. I walked into her room and put her on her bed and put the covers over her. She was so adorable when she slept.

"Goodnight Aph." I whispered and kissed her forehead then walked out her room.

"Is someone in love." Garroth said making me jump.

"What." I said.

"I saw the way you looked at her. You love her don't you." He said.

"Why would I love the person I'm meant to protect. Yes I love her but I'm her guard we have to love the people we protect." I said and walked away but he stopped me.

"Aaron I know you love her. Just say it." Garroth said.

"Garroth I love her enough to protect her. And it's against guard rules to love the people we protect in a romantic way." I said. I walked away and back to my place. I put my sword up and changed into a pair of sweats but kept my shirt off. I went to look out my window and looked at her balcony. Ok maybe I do love Aphmau in a romantic way. I sighed and went to bed thinking about Aphmau.

---Time Skip To Middle Of Night Because I Can---

I woke up to someone knocking on my door. I got out of bed and walked to my front door. I opened the door and saw Aphmau blushing.

"Um Aphmau what are you doing here." I said.

"I heard something and thought it was the assassin so I came here." She said still blushing and looked down.

"Uh you just wanna stay here." I said.

"Can I?" She asked.

"Yea come in." I said and she walked in. I shut the door and she sat on the couch.

"How come you don't sleep in the guard station." She said.

"I don't like it there plus Laurence and Dante snore." I said and she giggled.

"My brother snores. I've gotten used to people snoring because me and my brother shared a room for most my life." She said and yawned and put her head on my shoulder.

"I'm guessing you couldn't sleep." I said. She nodded and shut her eyes. She fell asleep and I put her in my room. I was about to leave but she stopped me.

"Aaron you don't have to sleep on the couch." She said.

"Aphmau I'm not sleeping in here with you." I said.

"Please I'm scared the assassin will come after me." She said and I sighed.

"Fine but shouldn't you at least sleep in your room so they don't think you were kidnapped." I said. It was to late she was already asleep so she couldn't hear me. I got in bed and looked at her.

"Night Aaron." She said.

"Night." I said. She moved closer to me and I put my arm around her. I fell asleep hoping Garroth won't run into my house saying Aphmau's been kidnapped then see her.
