The girl who runs with Titans

Chapter three: The 58th Expedition Mission

With the thoughts of the girl behind Jean, two months later, he and the rest of the scouts went on a expedition mission to the forest. Eren's position once again was unknown, but Jean, Mikasa, Reiner, and Bertholdt were stationed around him, as a guard.

They followed the carefully thought out plan Erwin drew up, but this time Jean and the others of the 104th regiment were solemn, memories of the last expedition rang through there minds, the people, they're friends, lost.

Green smoke shot up in the distance to there right.

"Titan out on the right flank!" Jean shouted up to Levi who rode silently ahead.

"Thank you, captain obvious." Levi grumbled.

"This isn't a joking matter!" Jean gasped, as a black flare went up. "Abnormal!"

"The defenses are too high it won't get anywhere near us."

"You thought that too about the female Titan!" Eren screeches back, his voice breaks in mid sentence.

"Ehhhh," he sighs. "Hoods up if it's a Titan shifte-" Levi was cut off when a three meter darted out I front of them.

"Why didn't anyone see him!"

"Where did he come from?"

"Damn he's fast," Jean gasped as the Titan ran towards Levi.

"Captain!" Eren moved faster towards him as Levi stood up on his horse. He shot over to the Titan on his ODM gear. With a quick slice the Titan was down.

"We keep going!" Levi shouted back at them. A eight meter Titan popped out of the small village they pass almost on top of them. "Protect Eren!"

Mikasa went after the eight meter, swords ready for the fatal strike. A loud roar shook through the small village. A Titan fifteen meters running full speed towards them. Female, images shoot through everyone's minds as memory's of the female Titan pursuit almost a year ago.

"Damn it! Full speed towards the forest! Now!" Levi jabbed his horse in its side making it speed up towards their destination, the cold mist emanating from the forest ahead spoke of death.

They made it to the forest, horses weak from the exertion.

"Tie the horses up, and move to the trees." Levi ordered them. As other scouts entered and surrounded the forest in they're rehearsed  formation. 

"Captain Levi, what about the abnormal female Titan we saw?" Jean stepped towards Levi once in the trees.

"Let's hope she loses interest." Levi stared off down the path.

"Loses interest? Levi, if she's a titan shifter she may-" Eren starts.

"Then we'll deal with it."

"Captain," Reiner crouches on his limb. "What if she-"

"I said well deal with it."

Two Titans one five meters the other twelve, walk into the path between the trees the group was stationed. The twelve meter looks up at them. A permanent smile plastered on its face. It moves to try to climb the tree, only to claw at it pitifully.

"Do you have a plan Levi?" Mikasa looks to the captain, Eren at her side.

Levi just stood there in silence as he looks pied down at the Titans three more varying in size joined the others.

Armin, Connie, and Sasha stood on the out skirts of the forest in the trees. Armin looked intently out on the horizon, several Titans were swarming the ground below.

"Awe man, I don't think I can handle much more of this." Connie crouched looking down at the Titans, scratching the back of his neck. "Why won't they just give up?"

"I just wish I brought snacks with me." Sasha sighed softly as her stomach growled.

"Is it just me or are there more Titans here than usual?" Armin finally spoke as a larger Titan squashed as smaller one in attempt to get closer to the tree.

"Now that you say it, I have noticed. You think it has something to do with that abnormal?"

"Maybe, she came in from the right didn't she?" Armin looked to Sasha.

"Yeah I think so, but what does that have to do with anything?"

"That's the direction of wall rose, about two months earlier we found a girl out side the wall in the forest out their. I'm wondering if theirs more to her than we thought."

"Umm, didn't you guys get a titan from out there?" Sasha looked at Armin, shaking in her boots.

"Yeah, we did. It had strange markings on it."

"I heard about that, but I thought you guys said the other Titan ate her?" Connie nearly shouted to Armin.

"We never saw her be eaten, we only saw her be taken away by the titan, who knows what happens to her." Armin looked down at the Titans below them again, they closed at the trees hungrily.

Hmmm, what could this mean? I know but....I'm not going to say. Hope you guys liked this. Gonna work on part two today so might be done between tomorrow or next week depends on whether I get stuck or school work.
