Chapter four: "You're cool to me."

Wendy's (POV)

*RING* *RING*

I walked through the halls of the school with a big grin on my face. Some of the other kids saw this, and smirked about it, but I didn't care.
I walked to my first class of the day, and as usual, I was the first one there. Mrs. Penny's worth came in a few minutes later and saw me smiling. I'm sure she was wondering what was making me smile.

"Good morning Miss Corduroy.

"Good morning Mrs. Penny's worth."

"Well, don't you look happy?"

"Oh yes, you can't even begin to imagine."

"Well, aren't you gonna tell why you are so happy?"

"Well, I met someone, a boy if you will. And we hanged out last night, and I had so much fun. We really got to know each other as well."

"See, you just gotta put yourself out there!"

"Yeah, you were right."

"Now, how did you two meet?"

"We kinda bumped into each other, and things took off from there."

"Well, it's good to know that you made a new friend."

After our conversation, the other students arrived to class. Usually, I'm ahead of the game, but this time my mind wondered a bit. I had Dipper on the brain, instead of my lessons. I snapped back to reality when the bell rang. I started walking down the hallway and I ran into one of the most popular girls in school, Pacifica Northwest. I only feel bad about myself around her. She took a glace at me and laughed. I blushed of embarrassment, as she spoke up.

"Haha, I heard about what happened last night with Dipper."

I was shocked by this, how could she have known? My blush deepen as I spoke up.

"How did you find out about it?"

"Haha, please, Dipper as been spreading it around like wildfire. It is actually quite adorable that you think you have a chance with him."

"Huh, what's that suppost to mean?"

"I mean, I see the way you look at him, and the way you blush when ever he is around you. The way you get all blushy around him is laughable!"

My blush only got deeper and deeper the longer she talked about it. How could Dipper tell everyone? I thought I could trust him! Finally my nerves got the best of me, and I ran off to find Dipper. I saw him by his friends near the cafeteria. I walked up to him, and he turned to me.

"Hey Wendy."

"Can I talk to you alone?"

"Ooooooo...."

"Don't you jocks have somewhere to be?!"

They ran off laughing after I said that. I turned my attention to Dipper and I frowned. He gave a worried look on his face.

"Hey, you Okay?"

He put his hand on my shoulder, but I moved it away. I tried to fight back my tears, when I turned to him, and spoke up.

"How could you tell everyone about last night?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Pacifica told me that you were telling everyone about what happened last night!"

He started laughing and I blushed. He spoke up again trying to catch his breath.

"And you believed her?"

"Well, I.."

"Wendy, I didn't tell anyone. I don't know how they found out. But I understand why you did think it was me, and I'm sorry for that."

I sighed and dropped my head down.

"No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions, and I'm sorry."

I looked up at him, and he smiled. I smiled back, before he spoke up again.

"You know Pacifica is only trying to find a way to get more popular."

"I know."

"Hah, she'll find anyone to pick on that she thinks isn't popular."

"Yeah, wait! Say that again."

"Thinks isn't popular?"

"Of course!"

Then it hit me, if I want to be left alone, then I to be not popular, but look like I am. In other words, I think I need a make over.

"Dipper, I got an idea."

"Alright, let's hear it."

"If Pacifica only picks on kids she thinks aren't popular, all I need to do is look popular, not actually become popular, just look like it."

"Hm, I see what you're saying."

"But, I need your help with this."

"Hm, remember how you showed me your monster voice after the tea thing?"

"Yeah?"

"Ask, me in your monster voice."

"What, no!"

"Okay."

He was about to walk away when I put my hand on his shoulder, and I spoke up in a deeper voice.

"Can you help with this please?"

"Uhhh, yeah alright, I'm in."

He turned around to me, and I had a huge grin on my face. Before I knew what was happening, I jumped up and hugged him. He was taken back from it, but he hugged me back. It was great being in his arms. When we pulled apart, we were both blushing like crazy. After words we both walked to math class.
