Chapter 1: Wedding Day

Before we start I have to let you know that I do NOT own Fairy Tail *sigh* it belongs to Hiro Mashima. The story, however, is mine. Just make sure you know that m'kay?

Chapter 1: Wedding Day (Lucy's POV)

"Calm down Lucy! It is like you're having a personal earthquake!" Wendy says as I shake in anxiety. I grit my teeth "W-Well I can't help it! It is my wedding day!" I look over at Juvia, who no longer calls me 'love rival', swooning in a corner of the room. "Grey~sama!" She repeats over and over again. I roll my eyes at her. The wedding is outdoors, but right now, we are in the changing room. "Why am I feeling like this? I am a strong wizard who shows no fear or anxiety!" I say out loud. I hold my hand up to my face. My guild mark proudly stands out.

I smile in triumph over conquering the fear and pick up my dress to not ruin it as I walk over to a chair. My veil falls onto my face as I sit down. Wendy squeaks and immediately runs over to assist me in fixing it. My veil was held on my head by flowers and my dress is strapless. There is no pattern on it, just silk. I ribbon is tied around my waist, ending in a bow at the back of my dress. The heels picked out pinch my toes. I groan in discomfort and lean back in the chair.

"Lucy, the ceremony is about to start!" Wendy exclaims and I stand back up. Erza and Levy, who are back here with us, exit the room along with my mother, still as a dragon. Master then enters the room. Since my father is dead, he will take place in walking me down the aisle. The music changes and Master holds out his hand. I cautiously take it and the doors open to reveal the usually crazy guild in suits and dresses and are acting calmly. I sigh in relief that no fights have broken out.

I look to Natsu, who was trying to hold in a nosebleed, receive a whisper from Grey, who was his best man and the next groom of this wedding. Natsu gets an angry expression and punches Grey in the stomach, sending him flying. Master starts to walk faster and in no time, I am at the wedding arch set up in the park. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to..." I wasn't listening to the priest talk everything slows down for me. I hear a slight roar in the distance. I look in the direction of the sound before getting tapped on the shoulder by the priest. "Your vows Ms. Heartfillia. Mr. Dragneel has said his already." He says and I snap back into reality. "Sorry!" I say and pull a folded piece of paper out of the bow around my waist. I begin to read:

Natsu. I could say that name a thousand times and it would never get old. Possibly since I've said that name almost everyday for the years we've been together. Technically we have been together for 27 years counting the dragon realm. You brought me to Fairy Tail and that is something I can never thank you enough for. I still remember you crawling to the center of girls to find 'Igneel' who was really 'Salamander'. I actually knew you were the one for me from a guild member's conversation. They said " A love spell cast upon a person can only be broken if they spot the person who will bind their heart or also known their 'soulmate'." After I saw you burst through the crowd, there was no more girls or the fake salamander. There was only you...and that annoying cat.

I glance at Happy who backs away slowly. The audience laughs. I turn back to my paper.

I love you Natsu. Nothing in the world will change that. Not even the strongest spell or my hatred for Happy and his weird paw motions. I love you.

I finish reading and crumple up the paper, tossing it in the garbage directly behind me. Levy looks at the can longingly, probably wanting to read my vows. "By the power invested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." I lean in the kiss, but before our lips touched, the screech was heard again, but from directly behind me. "Vayen!" I shout and turn around to see the demon I had killed many years ago. "You really though you defeated me in a measly fight!" I chuckles darkly. The crowd gasps at the sight of him. "That was merely a weak clone of me." "I knew that I couldn't have defeated you so easily!" I shout at his and star dress into my Celestial Armor. Everyone gets into a battle stance.

"Oh there is no need for bloodshed, I'll just take what I need and go." I growl at his words. "There is nothing you need here, Vayen." I spit out his name like venom. "But there is! In this park, there is something that holds more power than the tower of heaven."

"What is it then?"

"You."

Vayen suddenly sprouts wings and grabs me in his clutches. I feel like I could pop any minute because of the tight grip. I scream in pain as Vayen start flying off. I reach my hand out to Natsu below me. "Help me Natsu." I whisper on the brim of consciousness. My world starts to fade and then everything turns black.
