Ulquiorra closed his eyes, feeling at peace- feeling calm as the energy of the Cero hit him, disintegrating his body.

----

"He is the one- I feel it!" a raspy voice exclaimed.

"Back off, Death, you can't have him." an authoritative woman's voice cut in.

"How did you know I was here? No matter. You can't stop me Empress, I want him. His soul is....perfect." the first voice replied with hostility.

"No." the woman said abruptly.

"It can't be that you....have feelings for this mortal?" the first voice rasped with new interest.

A pause. "Fine. You can have him. But I have terms."

---

His eyes fluttered open and he awoke to bright lights in a room made of only white. He sat up in alarm and shook his head in puzzlement- his mind was blank and he had no memories whatsoever.

Suddenly, black marks began to appear all around the room, and he glanced around in alarm. He had to get out of there.

Spotting one appear, he rushed to the door and, pulling the handle-it came open with ease. He took a step and found himself tumbling down, down to a world of darkness. He landed on a large puddle in the middle of a white desert, with a dark moon overhead. Glancing down, he looked in surprise to see his reflection. He had green eyes and white skin, with black tear-like stains on his cheeks. He found that his head of black hair spanning to his shoulders raggedly had a broken half-helmet thing that wouldn't come off, and he wore ripped white robes.

He raised his eyebrows in puzzlement but lost his train of thought when he heard a strangled cry. Standing up quickly, he spotted a young girl with a mask of bone half-hiding her face being clutched by a monster-like thing. He was about to rush to help when his body stopped. Why did he stop? He felt like it had something to do with his past but quickly shook it off. For now, to take care of the problem in front of him.

"What exactly...is this?" he motioned to them with a hint of boredom in his voice as he walked up to them. He surprised himself when he spoke- it felt as if someone else was speaking for him.

The monsters turned around and glared at him "Who, are you?" the one holding the girl growled.

"My name," he began to say and paused. What was his name? Before he could stop himself, the words tumbled out of his mouth. "My name...is Ul." he stated bluntly, surprising himself once again.

They frowned. "Get out of here. She's our prey."

Ul frowned. "I don't think so," he replied calmly and their eyes flashed.

"You don't think so?" they echoed in anger. "Oh, we'll teach you to defy us, the stronger hollows!" One of them held onto the girl and the other two dove at him.

Ul backed up slowly. He picked a fight, yet he didn't know the lengths of his abilities.

Just block their attacks, they're coming on both sides of you.

He frowned as a voice rang through his head, but he put his arms out and surprisingly blocked the attacks quite easily. Angered, the two swiped at his head and legs and he dodged one, but one hit his leg. The one who hit him recoiled quickly and Ul found that he felt no pain.

The two hissed and he brought both arms around, impaling the two with each arm. In shock, they both dropped to the ground, disintegrating. The third hollow dropped the girl with wide eyes. "I'll be back," he hissed darkly and ran off.
