The Truth

Ok so had to upload today because of somebody *cough cough AkatsukiKittyKat123* she rushed me and threatened me if i didnt upload today. So here it is, sorry that it is short

(Kakashi's POV)

I was following Pakkun when I saw something in the path in front of us. I saw Kurayami sitting next to bags. Pakkun and I stopped in front of her.

"Kurayami where's Mariah?" I asked.

She replied but in her own little language.

"She said that Mariah felt two huge chakra levels and went to check them out." Pakkun translated.

My eyes widened.

"We have to get there quick."

When we reached the valley of end we were too late. It started to rain so we lost Sasuke's scent. I ran over to Naruto, it looked like he passed out. I picked him up and searched the area for Mariah but she was nowhere to be seen. He started to stir and then woke up.

"Naruto, where's Mariah?" I asked.

"She's right over there," he said pointing to a spot where there was tons of blood.

Pakkun went over to the area and sniffed the blood.

"Yup, this is her blood."

"W-where is s-she? She was d-dead!" Naruto sobbed.

"Naruto, what happened exactly?"

"Sasuke had his Chidori and I had my Rasengan and right when we were going to collide Mariah got in the way and we hit her. When I woke up Sasuke was gone and Mariah.........she was on the g-ground a-and sh-she wasn't breathing and was bleeding a lot. Then I passed out."

"What happened to her body?" I questioned.

"Maybe Orochimaru wanted it so that he could experiment," Pakkun said.

The next day we all went to the ceremony for Mariah's death. Her name was going to be carved on the K.I.A stone. The only people who were there were her friends and the Jonin. Everyone was crying and Naruto was taking in everything hard.

He blames himself for what happened. He killed his teammate and his other one is now gone. At least she's at peace now and is with her family.

(Mariah's POV)

I regain consciousness but didn't open my eyes.

"How is she?" I heard a voice.

"She's stable, but she won't be able to move for a while. The damage that she has taken was fatal." I heard a female respond.

"What about her hands?" He asked.

"She won't be able to perform hand seals for a while or even use them. The skin is torn and burnt badly." Another male voice said.

"When will she awake?"

"She's already awake."

"Crap," I thought.

Someone walked towards me then stopped.

"There's no use in pretending, we already know that you're awake."

I slowly opened my eyes and saw the two people who never wanted to see. They both stood over me looking down at me.

"Where am I?" I asked them not letting my fear take over me.

"You're at the Akatsuki base." He replied.

"Why am I here?"

"We want you to join the Akatsuki. We've been observing you for a while and you've gotten stronger than the last time we saw you." The girl said.
