My legs were freezing as I step outside around 11. I really didn't come prepared for this trip. Who knew Brazil's temperature's dropped at night? Not me.  I waited patiently for Amy to come. In the mean time, I checked my social media.

As, I scrolled through pictures on Instagram, liking this and liking this, I landed on one of my favorite pictures. This one always makes me smile. The picture is of a girl, around my age. A few years ago, she got a puppy. A golden retriever. He's so cute. The picture shows the girl and the puppy. The puppy is licking her face, as her head bends, laughing. She looks so blissfully happy.

I follow her. She's really nice. Her real name is Lauren. We always have the funniest conversations. Half of the time, we just start laughing for no particular reason. She's one of my first friends I ever made in middle school. When, I'm around her, I feel so happy.

But, then Amy comes along, and makes things absolutely terrible. Speaking of Amy, here she comes.

She walks in a smoking hot dress that will most likely make the boys swoon over her. I don't why she wears that when I'll were doing is taking.

"Charlotte! How are you, honey?"

Silence.

"Answer me! "Her face gets all tense and serious. Suddenly, all that happy, bubbly energy goes away. She walks up to me and our faces are mere inches apart.

"Do you remember what you said to me the first day in middle school, Charlotte! Well, let me give you a reminder!"

"You told me, to not make fun of me or insult me! And look at what you're doing, insult me! "

"Oh, I remember. I just don't care. "

Well, that pierce my heart. And also broke it into a million pieces. She's so mean. I wish I could tell her that.

"Oh, and Charlotte. You what I saw earlier today? I saw you and Chris hanging out together. What did I tell you earlier?

Silence, once again.

"Oh, you remember? Aww, that's too bad. Maybe, some water will help refresh your memory."

She smirked before at me and them pushed me off the ledge of the pool. The second, the water hit me all the air was knocked out me. I was having a lot of trouble breathing. I wish I would swam more enough in New York City.

Yes, it's true. Back when I was a little kid, around 4 or 5, my dad made me start doing swimming lessons. I think the reason why was for me to get out of the house and do something. But, now I that's it's for a totally different reason.

But, when I stared going to elementary school. We stopped going to the pool to swim. Maybe, because my dad was lazy or I had a lot of homework to do.

While, I was thinking about my childhood memories, my eyes stared to close on me. They were getting heavier and heavier until darkness consumed me. The sounds I heard was the water and the beating sound of my heart. Other than that, there was no noise.

Chris's P. O. V

Tick, rock went the clock on the wall. I glanced over at the clock that was on my nightstand. It read. 12 :13. I sighed to myself, I really need to some sleep. But, I can't because I'm too busy thinking about the conversation I had with Charlotte.
