I saw yesterday
and the day before?
now it has morphed -
different expressions
plastered and painted
a new carving
etched upon your skin
a smile transformed
into to a smirk
and your inviting eyes
now creased into
snake-like slits
calculating, contracting,
ready to attack;
you're not you anymore
but tomorrow - I wonder -
which mask
you will be showcasing,
which character
you will be portraying
in this masquerade?
