Chapter 21: A year?

Dashie's POV:

"it's been a year Rainbow.... move o-"

I stop Apple jack in her words. "Aj..... Yes Fluttershy has been in that damn coma for a year, but that won't stop my love for her..." I say continuing to wipe of the table of the new established restaurant. I look around, business is dying down. Then again it is 12:45 am. Can't blame the people for going home to sleep. Ah sleep.... something i have a hard time doing in a hospital chair. 

"Dash? dash?!" Aj says snapping her fingers at me. 

I blink a few times and look at her. "yeah?" 

"So let me get this straight once again, So you're now working here and doing odd jobs to pay for what?" Aj says as she extends her neck a bit to look at my eyes, which are avoiding eye contact.

I look down and stare at my reflection in the table. "to pay for Shy's hospital bills..." 

"Don't you have your own bills? Like taking care of her rabbit - which isn't really your responsibility-  but you are also paying for YOU'RE apartment. And not only that you are you paying for her rabbit, her apartment, and her expenses. WHY?" She says in a very bitter tone. "grow up butter cup, and mo-"

I feel my anger fill up and i start to fly and get right in Aj's face. "Look here little miss high and mighty Applejack! I love Fluttershy, I spend every waking moment I am not sleeping or eating with her. On break i go to the hospital to see if she is awake! I sit there for hours staring and hoping she wakes up! I cry almost every night when i hear her heart beat, because i know she is still fighting! So I will fight in reality so when she comes to she isn't coming to a world that has forgotten her! Also her "rabbits" name is Angel! And he sis sweet and kind. So sorry if I can't move on and be with you or anyone else!" I fly off to the back of the store and slam the cooler door as i sit on the floor. I feel the slowly fall of tears.  

I start to remember all the times I've been with and around Shy. I miss her...

After a while i get a idea and i jump up and fly to my boss. "hey......C-can i go home?..." I say forcing tears to my eyes. 

"yes dash. be safe alright? Im sorry your friend upset you."

"Thank you..." I fly out and quickly up to the sky as I fly to the Rarity's. I bang on the door for a solid minute and when she opens the door I dart inside. "rarity, i need your help. I need to find a beautiful ring for Fluttershy."

"Darling, you are aware of the time right? Wait, why do you need a ring? Is she awa-"

"No she isn't but I am going to propose as soon as she does wake up." I say small blushes coming to my cheeks. 

"Rainbow dash, I think you're being illogical."

"Really..... Has everyone given up? Has everyone forgotten the loving and caring shy? She's still alive, shes still breathing and her heart is still beating..... "

"Why do you want to do this dash?"

I feel my heart sink, no one believes she'll wake up, everyone has lost hope... "Because Rarity, I feel like I have spent years of my life knowing I love her... And I am just now noticing how much it tears at my heart to not really hear her voice, see her beautiful eyes looking at me. Her face blush bright red... It tears at my heart not to see her hold angel close and care for the animals around us..... I love her, and couldn't dream of moving on with out her there with me." 

"Okay...Dashie I will go look for things in the later day."

"thanks so much rarity!" I hug her and then smile and leave heading straight to the hospital.
