Chapter 12: sickness

Dashie's POV:

I am upstairs in the library, a pile of daring-do books beside me. My hands flowing over the pages of the first novel. I love them all but I think the beginning of the stories are my favorites.

As soon as I get to the third chapter rarity comes busting through the library doors telling me I have to get dressed. I sigh and close the book but leave them on the floor and head out. Rarity elsa me in the dress and i was down to the dinning hall. A few minutes after I get there everyone else heads in. The last to show up is rarity and Fluttershy.

She smiles and goes to sit beside me but Aj takes her spot and she just sits across from me. "You look beautiful Rainbow." She says blushing a bit with a smile across her face

"You do too shy." I say with a smile. The princesses sit and the chefs start to bring out the food

Everyone digs in and Fluttershy just gets a little, then after a few minutes after we finish she gets up and runs out.

I give a confused look and follow her.

I go to run after her but I can't find her, until I see the garden door open. I go out to see Fluttershy with her hands on her knees, huffing.

"Shy?"

"I'm okay... I'm fine..." She coughs. "There was meat in that..." She takes a deep breath and turns to me. "I hate to throw up..." She walks past me. "Let's get back."

I grab her arm. "The princesses know you don't like meat.... Or better term your a vegetarian. They wouldn't put meat on your plate..."

She just stays still. "It's fine." She kinda staggers back a bit and falls in my arms. I feel her forehead and she has a burning fever.

"Apple jack! Twilight!" I scream as I pick up Fluttershy in my arms trying to fly but can so i just run/walk to get back inside.

They run out and help me get Fluttershy upstairs in her bed. She's passed out and Luna comes up and puts a wet cloth on her forehead.

"Has she been sick at all today?" She asks.

"No. Not until she ate meat. But then again I don't know..." I say sitting in the chair beside the bed.

"There wasn't meat on hers. We know she doesn't eat it." Luna goes and gets the doctor and when the doctor looks her over she just looks at me.

"She's just a bit sick, she should be better in the morning. No worries, just keep an eye on her." She walks out and when I feel a hand on mine I look at Fluttershy to see she has a small smile on her face.

"I didn't mean to worry you Dashie..."

"There wasn't meat in your meal.... You lied to me.... why?" I say with a slight disappointed tone in my voice.

Her smile disappears and she kinda looks down. "I... I didn't want you to worry."

"Really!?" I kinda yell now staring at her. My eyes a bit darker. "You fell back into my arms! Your a bit sick and think I won't worry!" I stop when celestia and Luna walk in. I let go of fluttershy's hand and pull away as I sit on the window seal looking out on the land, the moon shining bright.

I hear her give a small whimper.

"You okay Fluttershy?" Celestia asks.

"I'm just going to get some sleep... I should be fine." I hear her voice is a bit high.

"Something troubles you..." Luna comments.

"I just want to know why that was so random, it's okay really." She says back.

After they leave I just turn to see that she's under the covers and kinda in a ball shape.

I sigh and stand up an walk over and crawl ontop off the covers and pull her close to me.

She pokes her head out and just lays there. "I'm sorry..." She says already half asleep.

"It's okay...." I say as I pull her closer.

She turns over and looks at me. "I love you Dashie..." She closes her eyes and curls into my chest.
