Chapter 10: Train ride fun

(Dashies POV)

I feel Fluttershy's hand the whole way to her house. It's cold, making my warm hands cool. Upon getting to her house she turns to me and puts her head on my shoulder. Burying her face in my neck.

"Everything okay shy?" I ask as I see the dog come outside the doggy door to jump around us.

"Yeah everything's okay dashie..." She smiles and picks up the dog.

"Okay... Promise?" I ask and then kinda just look down at my feet

"Promise." She goes inside and just puts the dog down, leaning on the counter.

"So feed the pup and lets go to the castle." I say with a bit of excitement. But when I see shy against the counter I give a confused look. "Everything okay?"

"Y- yeah..." She grips the counter then let's go. Walking to the door. "Ready?"

"Not until you tell me what's up?"

She shakes her head and opens the door. "Everything's fine, let's not keep everyone waiting."

"Fluttershy!" I half yell. "No." I grab her wrist. "What's wrong?"

"Rainbow..." She looks up at me and kisses my cheek. "I promised you that I was fine."

"Okay..." I say in a low tone. I walk out, her hand in mine.

She just stays quiet as we walk to the train station. When we get there she smiles as we see the others. "Hey guys, sorry we are late."

Pinkie gives one of her strange stares, looking at Fluttershy. "Is everything not okie dokie loki?"

"No no, everything's fine Pinkie." She rubs her arm and grabs her ticket from Twilight. "I'll pay you back tomorrow."

"Oh shy it's fine, don't worry about it."

I let go of shy's hand and grab the ticket from twilight. Then board the train.

They follow and AJ sits beside me. "You alright sugar cube?"

"Sure...." I say as I sigh and stare out the window.

"Fluttershy looked a bit bothered... Y'all have your first relationship fight?" She kinda jokes

I huff and look out the window. "I don't know what's wrong with her,..."

"She'll tell ya. It's Fluttershy, she doesn't really hide stuff for long." She says looking at her, asleep in one of the empty seats.

"I know..."

After a few minutes Rarity comes over with measuring tape and starts measuring me.

"What are you doing?" I ask confused

"You have to look absolutely perfect when we visit Celestia! You all do." Both me and AJ slump down in our chairs. "Now don't do that... Fluttershy dear?"

She's still asleep and Spike shakes her and she jumps up, looking around. "Oh umm... Yes Rarity?"

"Will you be a good model for me dear? I need your measurements." Rarity gets her sizes and height and smiles. "See girls it's not that bad." She says looking back at us.

"Dresses just make me... I don't know feel.... Weird... But as long as it looks cool whatever." I say slumping back in my seat.

Rarity rolls her eyes, but continues. Then she goes in her bag and pulls out fabrics and a sewing machine. Twilight just looks at her.

"What?" She asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Nothing, it's just strange to see you have brought all that stuff in such a small bag.

"I can fit anything, anywhere darling." She says with a proud smile.

I roll my eyes and huff. My wing still hurts and I'm still ashamed I didn't tell shy. But she will be okay. I mean she has her own problems at the moment. I guess she does anyway. "So AJ..."

"Yep?" She asks looking out the window.

Aj and I talk for about an hour. Soon rarity drags me into another room. The fitting room. She tells me to strip to my bra and briefs. I sigh and do so and she gets me in a dress. It's a pale blue upper half, but the entire bottom is made of rainbow silk stuff. She tells me to get out of the dress before I ruin it and I do so. Putting my sweat pants and tank back on. I head out and AJ is asleep, her head against the window, her hat covering her face. I look and twilight is talking to Spike. Pinkie is putting up streamers for some odd reason. Fluttershy is holding Angel, whom I don't remember her bringing. I smile and walk over and sit beside shy. "Hey..."

She smiles and just lays her head on my shoulder. "Hiya." She says with a small sneeze.

"Bless you." I say looking out the window. I hold fluttershy's hand in mine. I chuckle when I hear Aj mutter and then jolt awake. Asking what happened. Everyone kinda giggles. Rarity then calls for Aj, she grumbles but heads back into the room. I lay my head on shy's, and mutter a bit. "I love you..." At first I don't think anyone else heard but... Pinkie did... And is making it well known.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY DASHIE!?"

"I didn't say anything P-"

"Dashie loves shy! Dashie loves shy!" She continues to taunt and I can feel my temper rise. My body tenses and my now tight grip on shy's hand tightens more and more. Then it loosens and I am in Pinkie's face. "PINKIE DIANE PIE! Shut up!" I scream. Everyone is now staring at me and the train is dead silent. I huff and shake my head and move into the next car. I head to the back of the train to caboose. I stand and place my hands on the back railing. Why did I just yell at her like that's... I mean she was saying the truth...

I hear Fluttershy's whispered yelling then I hear the train car open and then I feel Shy's arms around my stomach, hugging me from behind. "I love you to." She says laying her head on my back.

I put my hands over hers. I'm to the point I want to cry. Then again crying isn't cool and especially in front of someone I truly care for.

After a few minutes shy and I am feel the train slowing down. I sigh and blink. "Let's go get our bags, will you need help with anything?"

She shakes her head, but keeps me where I am. "I-..." She stops and just let go. "I'm sure I got it." Her face is tomato red and she just keeps her eyes to the ground

I turn around and look at her face, where her eyes are directed and her now twiddling thumbs. "Shy?"

She looks me in the eyes, then leans in and gives me a small kiss on my lips. Then she steps back and her face seems a bit redder.

"I... I've been... trying to work up the... nerve to do that all day...." She says walking back to the other door where everyone else is.

I grab her wrist before she can completely leave and I pull her back to me. "Shy... I love you so much." I look into her teal blue eyes and then lean forward and kiss her.
