Kayla

"Mother!" I scream as she tightens her grip on my arm.

"Why did you go, Kayla?" She snapped.

"I..I," I stuttered.

"You can't marry a prince," she stated.

"I know!" I answered back.

"You have to marry Nicholas...," she whispered.

"Why mother?" I softened.

"Because I owe his mother, dear!" She mumbled.

She pulled me into the house and up into my room.  She rested me on my bed and heavied out a big sigh.

"You will not go to the ball tonight!" She ordered. She exited the room and I heard a clink

This should be the moment where ordinary guy rescues me from my sorrow of being locked away. When I let down my hair and climb down into his arms. Sadly, my hair isn't that long.

I took a book from the bookshelf, it was titled, "The Great Adventures of Thomas Green,".

As I recall, it was about this guy who documentaried all his adventures into one 659 paged book. From beanstalks to seven dwarves, he had done everything.

But then he had met a witch which made him fall in love with her and etcetera. Who knows what happened to the kid. That's how the book ended.
"Psst,"

I blinked an eye.

"Kayla!"

I covered my ears with a pillow.

"Kayla look down," the voice whispered.

I peered down and saw Nicholas standing there. His locks of curly blonde hair were flowing in the wind.
He looked pleased with himself. Too pleased in fact.

He had a devilish grin on his face. He held up a rope and hook and started to untangle it. Who needs long hair?

Minutes later, he held out his thumb as my signal to come down from the tower. I squeezed through the tower window then took a leap of faith.

It was only midway down when I realized that I wasn't holding on to the rope. I grabbed it then shut my eyes.

I landed into something soft and mushy.

I opened my eyes to see I landed on a giant marshmallow. I grabbed a piece and gulped it down. I looked around me, Nicholas had disappeared. Then a hand clamped over my mouth.

Whoever it was had a strong grip. The person tickled me over and over until I was lying on grass.

"Very funny," I muttered as the hand was released from my face.

"Why so sarcastic today, Kayla?" Nicholas mused. He wore a black torn shirt and a vest.

"I don't know, because I was locked up then rescued by a pretty guy?" I joked.

We burst into laughter.

"Let's go," he said, pointing into the woods.

"Alright," I mumbled, not so supportive of the idea. "Let's have the time of our lives,"
