V i r i d i a nMy arms wouldn't let go of Kenna. Her body had grown cold and her skin was even paler than she already was. But I couldn't let her go even as she lost the last drop of blood inside of her. She just couldn't be dead. She was so full of life. She was snarky and a monster but that's what made her so lively. She was commanding and her fear motivated her. She drew pictures as if she were seeing the souls of her muses. She was intriguing and...She couldn't be dead.
"Viridian..." Mirella sighed, "Give her to me." She looked at me annoyedly as we sat on the couch in the den.
My eyes widened at Mirella, passing Kenna to her immediately.
Her nosed wrinkled up, "She's awfully sweet, isn't she?" She quickly kicked off the crap on the coffee table, lying her out flat. "With wounds like that she must have drowned in her own blood before she could bleed out. I kind of feel bad for the little human."
I turned my head away, not wanting to hear or see the things that happened to her. I just wanted her safe. I just wanted her back.
"I need five black candles, a knife, a handful of the purple flowers from inside the cave, a vile of cat blood, and a heart -it works best if the heart is from something the victim cares about." She looked at me pointedly, "human, animal -it doesn't matter. Can you do that, Viri?"
I frowned. By then it had felt like I'd already known Kenna for years. But I didn't know her at all. In fact, it was her that knew me. I hadn't even tried to ask her anything personal. I didn't have time to... So, what did she care about? There were always her friends... But I would rather leave them as a last resort.
"Also I need to clean the blood off of her. So throw in some towels, a bucket of water, and a clean white outfit on the list." She chuckled, beginning to undress Kenna from the blood soaked t-shirt and pyjama shorts.
I groaned painfully as she revealed the entire horrible wound that was hidden under the loose shirt. Not only was her neck slashed open repeatedly until her throat was visible, her shoulder and collarbone were completely shredded to bits, revealing the white bone almost entirely. God, she must've had been in so much pain.
"You poor girl..." Mirella muttered with a head shake.
Why didn't I get there sooner? Why did I ignore the bad feeling I had gotten? Why didn't I save her?
"F*ck!" I swore enraged. I would bring hell to whoever did this to her. I would be merciless when I found them.

The first thing I did was go back to Kenna's dorm. I had to clean up the crime scene before anyone saw it. Thankfully it had only been about an hour since I went searching for Kenna, and everyone was still partying the long night away.
But when I got to her dorm, it was already cleaned.
My eyes swept the room. Everything was as it should be. Cleaned bed. Cleaned wall. Cleaned floor. Not even a speck of blood anywhere -it made no sense. I stepped into the room cautiously, sniffing the air for any clue that could lead me to who cleaned the mess. The only scent I got was floral, and it smelled a lot like Kenna did. But different somehow. Not so sweet, there was something...bitter tasting about it. The scent lead off to nowhere, it was as if it just appeared in her room, cleaned up the mess, then disappeared again. But why? And how?
Once again, my stomach twisted anxiously. It was another bad feeling and this time I wouldn't ignore it.

Hm, what is going on? Hm. I guess we'll all find out soon, seeing as I'm just writing like a maniac right now.
