"Sophie Park, up until when will you keep me waiting outside?" I hear Alex's voice over the phone. I just took a bath and I'm trying to pick the most comfortable clothes I could wear.
"Hold on for a minute," I tell him, "I'm almost done." I added as I wore my jeans.
"For a minute, you mean five more minutes?" He teases me and I hear him laughing on the other line.
"By a minute, I mean another hour of you waiting outside this hotel." I tell him jokingly and I guess he might've taken that seriously because he went silent, "It's a joke, I'm inside the elevator now." I speak after a few seconds of silence. It's true though, I'm inside the elevator and there's a family with me inside and they're looking at me with an odd expression since I've been smiling too much, if I only I could tell them that, yes random family inside the elevator, I do have a love life and my boyfriend is keeping me happy. Please stop looking at me. But I gave them an awkward smile instead. Once again, the socially awkward Sophie has been unleashed.
"Good. I'll be seeing you, then." Alex said and I respond to his statement, "I miss you immediately." He added and my lips automatically form a smile, "Are you smiling?" he asked.
"No, I'm not." I deny and my smile only goes wider by the second, "You can drop the call now." I instruct him and he doesn't drop the call, "Alex Kim, I'm in the hotel lobby." He drops the call after I said it over the line and I was forced to go outside and the cold winter breeze welcomes me.
I scan the place and there are no signs of Alex Kim being around here. I type in a message for him in my phone but before I could press send, I felt someone hug me tightly from behind.
"Trying to look for me?" He whispered in my ear and I nodded at his question. By now I am smiling from ear to ear. Alex lets go of the back hug and holds my hand, "Are you ready for today's adventure?" he asked looking right into my eyes.
"Did you prepare something?" I ask him back and he only responds with a shrug and a mischievous smile on his face, I nod before saying, "Alright. Take the lead and let's go on an adventure." I smile widely at him and we began walking towards his car.
Alex turns on the heater inside the car and he started the engine and we went off to somewhere he didn't tell me. Before I could open the radio for us, Alex does the job for me.
"Where are we headed?" I ask him as the car stops for a red light, "I feel like something's about to happen today." I tell him.
"We're going to my house. I promised to show you my room, remember?" Now that Alex has reminded me about seeing his room, my mind starts to get curious again. I almost forgot about that promise he made. Maybe it was because I was too happy with what happened last night that I had to be reminded of something I was so curious of.
"I almost forgot about that. Thank you for reminding me." The red light turns green and the car begins to move again, "That's cute." I say quite abruptly as we passed by a group of students walking on the sidewalk.
"What's cute?" He asked and I saw him follow the direction of my sight, "Oh, you mean the uniforms." He mumbles to himself and he turns to look on the road.
"You see, I think I already told you about it but let me say it again, I never got the chance to wear uniforms." He looks over at me with this doubtful look, like he's asking me why I was never able to do something like that, "I'm a homeschooled girl, just in case you're wondering." I added and he nodded to at my explanation.
