The bright sun illuminates on my face reflecting my cheery self this morning. The sound of loud chatter vibrates in the carefree kitchen. I glide to the kitchen and see my mum talking to my dad. She notices I'm in the room and hands me the phone.
"Hello, Charlie Bear." My dad chuckles
"Hello, dad. When are you coming New York?" I penetrated
"I need to sort out some things in London but I have a surprise for you, Charlie Bear." He says nasally
"What is it, dad" I whine constantly
"When I come to New York, your friends are coming with me. I'm paying, of course. Me and your mother think you deserve it for doing well in school and getting a school scholarship here in New York"
I drop the phone and scream my lungs out. I hug my mum and kiss her frantically. The retriever and my mum are booming with laughter. I rush to my room and change into fashionable Nike sportswear. I turn my music on and let it consume me completely.
"Mum, I'm going out to buy souvenirs for my friends" She kisses my nose and waves frantically with a loud kick on my innocent bottom. I guess some things don't change.

After a long expedition, I managed to retrieve the perfect gifts. I skip my way back to the apartment which got tiring after a while. I gasp for breath and walk to the apartment slowly. As I'm walking to the apartment, I hear a woman shouting on the top of her lungs. I assume that it is someone else but it is in fact my mother. Speed is now my friend as I allow it to take control of me. The shouting now becomes clear and it shatters me completely.
There is no need for me to run as I know everything. I walk as if I have a limp towards my mother. She doesn't notice that I'm here with her feeling her sorrow and her never-ending pain.
"Dad had an affair, didn't he." Mum looks at me worriedly and pulls me towards her. We both cry for the horrors that are now amongst us. The silence roams around us for a very long time.
