Chapter 1

"Oi, Charlotte come here"

I turned around and saw Andrea with a big grin on her face. She is wearing a pink pencil skirt, black strappy jersey basic top. I wonder where she got the clothes from and why she decided to where it today. What's the special occasion? Is she going to a restaurant or the local cinema or..

"Earth to Charlotte." Andrea shakes me and rubs my perfectly made up face.

"Andrea, darling, I spent a very long time looking sexy for you and you disrespect me by rubbing my beautiful face" I tease playfully as Andrea drags me along the corridor.

"I need advice on how to act around Timothy on our date. I don't want him to think I'm too desperate or I don't care. The thing is I really like him and this date will ensure we stay together hopefully. What should I do?"

Andrea blabs on "What should I do. What should I do. What should I.."

Before she can carry on, I squeeze her cheeks. "Andrea, calm down. When you go on this date, act normal. If Timothy doesn't accept the real you then he can go fuck off."

A second later, I feel a slimy trail on my either side of my cheeks with Andrea cracking up and falling on the floor.

"Whoever that was, you can say farewell to my excessive amount of Skittles in my bag" I smirk, taking the packets slowly out of my bag.

A rush of speed comes towards me trying to kiss and steal the packet of Skittles. Josh and Lily were put in headlock for their horrendous crime.

I cough slowly to create tension. "So, lovebirds, why did you attack me and my guardian?"

Josh shouts "We felt bored". Lily pinches him and whispers "Stupid boy that was such a shit -

I scream madly "These two lovely students have skittles in their bag"

Everyone in the main school building rushes over to Josh and Lily and attack them savagely. The number of pupils who attack them rapidly increases. I peer over and see a rumple of empty Skittle packets. Revenge is sweet!

I slowly walk towards Josh and Lily and frantically laugh at them.

"How do you guys feel? Actually, I already know." I chuckle whilst picking them up

Lily looks dumbfounded whilst Josh scratches his messy brown hair

"Charlotte, I need to ask you something about the Chemistry homework" Josh nervously says

"Yeah, go ahead" I rumple with my bag to find Chemistry book

The school bell rings loudly for the end of lunch with a crowd of KS3 and KS4 students rushing to their classrooms and teachers shouting at students to not run in the corridors.

Josh turns to face Lily "Lily, can I talk to Charlotte alone. I don't want you to think I'm thick or anything"

"Yeah, that's fine. I'll see you guys later" Lily quickly hugs me and spuds Josh.

We walk silently to the Sixth Form study room and open our books. I notice he has the exact same answers I have. Well, that's odd.

"Josh, spill what you actually want to tell me" I say seriously

"Charlotte, I really like you"

I groan in frustration and smack the desk. Josh looks at me worriedly and grabs my face to make me look at him.

"Josh, I can't. Lily really likes you. I can't get in the middle of that. We're great friends and all but I don't like you in the same way. Sorry" I say hesitantly
