It Isn't You That's Dangerous, It's Me

I ran into class out of breath, I couldn’t stop thinking. What could be so dangerous about him that he was to afraid to confess to me who he was?

Our teacher Mrs. York came in and started class, our assignment was to write a story about something we feared. I sighed, what an easy assignment. I grabbed my pencil and started writing about my biggest fear, death.

I had gotten so lost in the moment I didn’t realize it was time for Art class. I never really liked that class; I wasn’t much of an artist. Today was different though, something had come over me, and I found myself drawing him for my assignment. His blue eyes stared back into mine and he had this warm welcoming smile, he was standing there beckoning me with his finger to follow.

“Who is that?” One of the girls asked who sat at the table.

I lied. “I am not quite sure who he is”

“Well, he looks like something from out of a book” She said smiling.

I laughed. “Yeah, I guess he does”

I enjoyed that class a lot today; before I knew it I had drawn a full body portrait of this guy whom I barely knew. I knew it was unhealthy to think of one person so much, but I didn’t know what else to do. I left the class with a huge smile stretched across my face. I practically ran to my car, I was so lost in thought I didn’t even notice the fact that he stood leaning against my car.

“I just wanted to apologize to you” He said staring down at the ground.

I looked at him confused. “Thank you?”

“You met my sister today, did you not?” He looked up, his eyes meeting mine

 “Kelsey?”

“Yeah, I just wanted to say sorry for her being so rude to you”

My heart stopped. “It’s no problem; I have to say though I don’t think you are dangerous”

He looked at me hard with the darkest colored eyes ever. “I have no idea what you’re talking about”

He walked off breathing really heavy. Had I really made him that mad? I got into the car and buckled up. Belle came storming at the car.

“Stay away from him Nicole” She said glaring at me.

“Belle, I can handle myself okay?”

She looked forward. “You are stupid, you know that right?”

I pulled out of the parking lot slowly, “Yeah, I know”

She must have been really mad at me because she didn’t speak to me the rest of that day. I was somewhat relieved to be alone. I walked up to my room. I didn’t expect anything but there laid a note. I went to open it but stuck to the tape was pieces of hair, almost fur like. That was odd, but I opened it up to read it anyway.

Nicole,

Have you figured it out yet, do you know who I am?

I don’t want to reveal too much to you. I am more dangerous than you think I am. I want you to be safe, I can’t hurt you or else I couldn’t live with myself. If you know who I am then let me know, I’m dying to hear.

Tyler

I don’t want to believe he is dangerous, but lately fear has taken over me and I don’t know what to do. Kelsey scares me, and you can just sense the danger in her voice. I wanted to write him back; instead I decided calling him would be the best.

“Hello?” He said yawning.

  “Tyler?”

“Yeah this is him, Nicole right?”
