We ran out of the house and hurried up and got in the car. My heart was racing, I was scared, and my parents would freak out. I had to leave though; my life and his life were in danger. He grabbed my hand and looked at me smiling.

“I never imagined a single e-mail, could have caused such a mess” Tyler said looking into my eyes.

  “I just want you to be safe” I said choking on my words.

He dropped the gaze and looked forward to the road ahead. He had this lump in his throat, like he couldn’t swallow. He looked up at the sky then to the clock, he looked at me, worry filled his eyes. He sped up and managed to get us to the hotel in Batavia, just a little before eleven o’clock.

He grabbed my hand and tried speaking. “I-I h-have to g-go out for a bit”

“Okay, just be careful”

He chuckled. “Don’t a-answer the door; you n-never know what m-monsters are out there”

He left me to get us the room and get settled in for the night. As he walked away I swear I could have seen his shirt ripping. I decided again it was all imagination; I walked up to the people at the desk and asked them for a room.

  “How long do you plan on staying?”

“Actually I am with somebody else he went out on a walk, but we will be staying a week”

The man whispered something to the lady next to him, “Young lady can I ask you what your name is?”

 “Why does that matter?” I asked, my voice shaking.

He yelled down to the security guard. “Hey Dave, come here and take a look at this girl”

“You there, what’s your name?” He asked me.

I backed away slowly from them. “N-Nicole, why does it matter?”

“Hey aren’t you the girl who went missing?” The guard asked me.

The man at the desk reached for the phone. “Hello, can I get a p-

“Please stop, I can call my parents when I get into my room”

Dave shook his head and the man dropped the phone. “Has your kidnapper hurt you?”

I started laughing uncontrollably. “Wait, what?”

“Miss we need to know” The man behind the desk said.

  “No, he is my boyfriend and he didn’t kidnap me” I said trying to calm myself down.

“Here is your key then, if any funny business occurs though I have to step in and report you” Dave, the security guard said.

“Thank you so much, you have no idea how much help you have just given me”

Dave followed me up the floor to where the room was, he got me set up and tipped his hat. I turned on the television to see what story my parents had given now, sure enough there stood my mom in hysterics.

“Please just bring my baby home safe”

  “If anyone has seen this missing girl and the man who is responsible for this kidnapping please call your local authorities” The reporter guy said.
