I helped Raven to the edge of my bed, she sat down and I stayed up, wondering what happened next. The first thing she did was take off her brace and throw it to the side.

"Get comfy, you're home." She said hastily without eye contact.

"It's barely home to me, you know that."

"I know, but it can't hurt you to sleep in a bed for one night." I sighed and took off my extra layers, leaving me in a tank top and jeans. "See? That's more like it."

"I'm really curious, though," I sat down next to her, "do you remember who you slept with? Is it helping?" She laid back on the bed, looking up at my plain ceiling. I followed, looking at something I grew up trapped under.

"Murphy's friend. He tried to set me up but I just wanted...."

"Sex. You just wanted sex."

"What's so wrong with that?"

"Nothing, except since when were you friends with Murphy?" She laughed lightly.

"Most people wouldn't become friends with the person that shot them, but he's honest company."

"Fair enough." I replied, shutting my eyes for a second.

"Octavia?"

"Yeah, Raven?"

"How are you and Lincoln?" I opened my eyes again when she asked that, I could hear the hesitation in her voice, and there was hesitation in my answer.

"Different."

"I understand that."

"Thank you."

"For what?" She turned to look at me, and I met her gaze.

"Understanding, I guess. Caring at all. Things are just different and I can't do anything to comprehend that."

"I think I kinda feel what you're going through."

"More than most." She smiled and looked back at the ceiling. I barely ever saw her smile, but it was refreshing to see another tough exterior crack a smile. "Ever thought about dating someone instead of just sleeping with them? Maybe that's what you need."

"Can I tell you something seriously, ridiculously embarrassing?"

"Please do!" I sat up and looked at her excitedly, she laughed and sat up.

"If you tell anyone, Octavia, I swear I'll kick your ass." She tried to hold back a laugh but we both burst out.

"I promise, Reyes, just tell me already!"

"Fine." She collected her laughter and closed her eyes. "Okay. So one night a few of us were hanging out, I barely had anything to drink but Murphy... he was absolutely wasted. So I walked him back to his place to make sure he got there... and he started going on and on about how he should have walked me home because he was the man, and the least he could do was invite me in. And I so knew what it meant, oh my god, but I went. And for a few minutes he just talked about how I deserve better, and how he's glad I don't hate him, and that... he said I could handle him." She opened her eyes and looked at me scared. "He kissed me, a few times, and I sorta kissed back just to see? You know? Oh my god I can't believe I just told you this." She laughed and laid back on the bed.

"Is that all?? What happened after that?!"

"I told him I should go, he got a little pissed but then he apologized and said he'd been wanting to do that for a while. Saw him the next morning and he didn't remember... now he's trying to set me up."

"Reyes... that's awesome. Funny awesome and tragic awesome, just awesome." She laughed and I laid back down again next to her.

"Did I ever tell you... I totally tried to flirt with Finn our first day on the ground. But he ignored it."

"Because of Clarke, I'm guessing?" She chuckled lightly.

"They barely knew each other at that point, he ignored me because he knew Jasper had a crush on me." She burst out laughing.

"You and Jasper... should have known! This is why you're confused about Lincoln, Jasper is your man!!" She jumped up out of bed and started pulling my hand up, then she just laughed too hard and sat on the floor.

"Me with Jasper and you with Murphy... what has happened?!" I joined her on the ground, we had a minute of silence that we were still smiling. "I'm gonna set you up. If Murphy is doing such a shit job, I'm gonna try."

"You don't need to do that, Octavia..."

"But I want to." She smiled at me.

"Thanks."

"For what?"

"Being a friend."
