The year I moved to Korea is when everything happened I'm only 20 years old i was 19 when everything happened, I moved to Korea because its where my father was from, when my mother was American, We moved to get closer to my father side, and so I could try a figure out my Korean side, I spoke Korean well but not my first language. I took self defense classes and even did Fencing, and how to defend myself using Knives, but on my down time I loved reading stories about Zombies, back when I read the books they were just fictional stories, no one ever thought it could actually happen.
I remember I fell asleep reading one of my books my parents had gone to Mexico a week prior, I woke up to the sounds of screaming like blood curdling screams so I ran outside and saw everyone being attacked and others being eaten by other humans, at first i thought it was all just a dream but it seemed to real. I ran back into my house into my backyard grabbing plywood and hammered them to cover the windows locked my doors and boarded them up and I quickly called my parents told them what was happening and that I boarded the house up that I was safe and that I would find a way to mexico, I transferred all the money in my account to them and took my grandfathers card with me since I knew the code to it not like I could really use it during all this but If I found a way to a city that was protected I knew I could find a way to mexico.
It took 2 weeks for all radios and tv station to completely go out, and all my food and water had run out even the tap water was cut out. I ran out once a week to grab enough food and water to last me I probably constantly lost weight every week from the little food I ate but it was hard to find, it was as if everyone ran during the attack just to get room i even broke into houses and couldn't find a thing. I even would go to further from my house closer to downtown to try and find supplies and nothing I was able to stock up and insane amount of medication which I was surprised about, even stuff i didn't need i took just incase I ran into someone who was looking for it. I had everything from bandaids to prescription pills to baby formula.
My last run into town before i switched in search of a new place to stay I ran into Zico and without even thinking I swung my knife out cutting him slightly in the stomach and I just stopped in shock that about a month i found a group of guys and 3 other girls who were all alive and all he did was just look at me and laugh which I thought was strange. but I brought them back to my house and cleaned his cut and wrapped it.
I sat there for what felt like hours being questioned about how I survived this long, if I killed any of the dead, and how many, if I killed any of the living and how many, what supplies I had, and what weapons, and tried to tell me how useful I would be and how I would benefit them in everything, which made me happy hearing that for once in my life I was useful towards something.
Out of everyone I became the closest to Chanseul we were the same age, and I learnt she was he first girl who ran into the group, and that none of them really knew eachother but they were just fairly welcoming there were 10 other guys in the group, Zico, Bobby, Jackson, Hyunseung, Kai, Suga, Mino, Minho, Yongguk, and Tao and I got along with them all quiet well, but I became the closest to Jackson he was the hyper outgoing one who brought of the positive side constantly which was nice, it was something we all needed.

I never left anywhere without Chanseul if the others said I was going with them on a supply run I would always go looked for her and bring her with me, and this went on for a couple days, we would always run out for clothes, food, supplies, and my first run out without Chanseul was my first time recruiting others to out group, which is how we met Mathura and Ilhoon, but It wasnt easy to get them either.
