Chapter 2- The Plan

The next day.

"I....I. It sounds like a good plan but...... Fine. I'll do it. When do we start?"

Those were the words that send hot joy all throughout my body. Through my spine and through my hair. Love was in me and it was not giving up. This was it. This was finally it.

"Good for you. Now I have to rush, see you at recess?" I ask. James shakes his head.

"I'm actually going to Melbourne today. I'm-"

"Why are you going to Melbourne," I interrupt. "The holidays aren't until- Oh."

"I'm sorry, but we have to move for my fathers job. It wouldn't be fair on him if my mother and I stayed. We are looking for somewhere to buy today, but I'm not going until the end of the year."

"Sounds fun. Well, I'll see you next week, I guess. Bye." I reply. James waves and leaves me feeling rather deflated. Moving? To Melbourne? Suddenly the heat from my body disappeared and I shiver, feeling the cold once more.

I see Gabrielle approaching me and I look up from my computer.

"Hey Gabby. How's it going?" I ask, kind of annoyed. I said I'd meet her after math at our geography class 10 mins early to speak. But she turned up 9 mins late.

"Hey girl. I'm sorry I didn't come on time. Mel was chatting to me about Leo and she wouldn't stop. She really needs to get her stuff sorted out cause she already has a..........."
She stops and gapes at the space behind me. I turn and see that she is pointing at the cutest boy at school. And he was coming in our direction.

"Hunk alert. He's coming this way. Act natural!" Gabby says.

I get up and say something to the hot guy.

"Hey, Matthew. I haven't seen you since semester 1. Time flies right?"

"Yeah, it does." Matthew replies.

"This is Gabrielle," I say, gesturing to Gabby. She blushes and he looks at her, amazed.

"Hi Gabrielle. I'm Matthew. We should meet up some time." He says to her. They shake hands and in Gabby's hand is a piece of paper with numbers on it. His phone number. They are already together.

...

Gabby is still shouting.

"He is hot, but have you seen what he just texted me yesterday? I am not sending a pic of my boobs. Just no."

"Good for you, Gabby. C'mon, we have Math. Let's go." I say. She grabs her stuff and we head off to our math class. We meet Scout and Ana on the way. We are the only girls in the top math class. Next I have music and Jace is in it too. Although Gabby isn't, Mel is. I haven't been spending much time with Mel. I should though. That's why I am excited for tonight. Mel and I are having a girls night in with Gabby.

"Hi class. Please go and find a seat and we will begin our lesson." Our teacher says.

Gabby and I go arm in arm into the class, prepared for anything!

Hey all Gladiators!

I'm sorry that this is a short update, but I have to go do homework and cello practise so not happening this weekend. I am also working on hidden, which is taking up most of my time. I will work on this one, Hidden and Call and Response. Hope you guys like it so far
