Last period goes on forever. Obviously. It's PDHPE. I can't help myself to keep peeking at Chris. I'm so excited for tonight. I've been waiting all week, planning outfits, hair and even perfume with Gabby, Mel and Genevieve. We are all going together.
Finally, the bell rings and i almost fall out of my chair. I grab my stuff so quickly and flash out of the door. I make it to my locker before anyone else. I start packing my bag when I see Mel and Gabby come from the stairs.
"Agghhhh I'm so excited for tonight!" Mel says.
"Me too!" I say and we have a group hug.
"So, Mel told me that we are going to your place, T. Is that right?"
"Yep! I've got all of your outfits there and there is a limo coming to pick us up from there.
"Wait, where is Genevieve?" Says Mel.
"She's meeting us at home, cause she wasn't at school today." I say.
The girls nod and go to their lockers to pack up. While I pack my bag, Chris comes over to my locker.
"You excited for tonight?" He says.
"Yeah, I'm so excited. You?" I reply
"Super. I can't wait for..... never mind. How was your day?" He says, suspiciously
"Good. Boring as always, but good. I just wanted it to be over, so it can be the weekend." I say, laughing.
Chris laughs too, did I mention I love his laugh, and I smile.
"Did I mention that I love your smile?" He says, reaching for my hand.
I blush like crazy and I can't look him in the eye. He reaches my hand, and slots his fingers in between mine. I look at him, my legs shaky.
"No, you didn't." I say, blushing even more.
"Well then, I really love your smile." He says once again, smiling.
He stepped closer to me, his cologne slowly drifting up my nose. His thumb stroked the back of my hand. I was lost in his eyes when I looked up at him.
Then I was knocked out of the moment by Mel shouting my name, and telling me to hurry up.
"Oops! Better get going." I say, starring at Mel.
She mouths sorry and I sympathise.
"I'll see you soon though. I promise." He says, squeezing my hand and then letting it go.
"Yeah." I say as I watch him walk away.
Gabby taps me on the shoulder,
"Come on, get your bag and we can leave this place already!"
It makes me laugh and I grab my bag, lock my locker, and head towards the exit.
...
I try on my third outfit for tonight and all I get for a change is yes! Finally, an outfit. I was wearing a white cropped see-through singlet with dark grey jeggings and white all star converse. My hair was curled, but out and we all had decided to go make-up free for tonight. It wasn't a major party, after all.
The limo was just for fun, there was only four of us but we wanted to arrive in style. Well there was only four of us. Now there was going to be 10, because Chris texted me saying that him and his friends had organised no transportation for tonight, so we let him use the limo. But they were coming in under an hour and we had only picked out my outfit. Now it was time for Mel. We were not going to be on time!
...
"We will be down in a minute!" I say, rushing to get everything done. I grab my purse and apply my lipstick super quickly, we decided on lipstick only. I grab my keys, lipstick, phone and money and stuff them all into my purse. Then I grab my shoes and head to the door. Everyone is already done and they all look amazing. We all look amazing. I quickly slip my converse on and tie them up. We then head out of the door and down the lift.
The first thing I see is Chris, looking absolutely gorgeous. He was wearing tight black jeans and a loose navy shirt that he had rolled the sleeves up. The limo arrived just as we got outside.
"Hey everyone! Hop in!" I say. I let everyone in first, Chris is the last one to get on. The last spot available when I get on is in between Chris and Gabby, so I happily take the seat. But then Gabby begins to talk to Genevieve and so I immediately turn to Chris.
"You look amazing, tonight T!" Chris says to me, taking my hand for himself.
"Thanks, you look gorgeous." I reply, blushing.
"I can't wait for tonight." He says, looking me straight in the eye.
"Me neither!" I say, and we talk the whole way there.
...
Samaria spins the bottle and it lands on me. My turn to spin. The rules: if it lands on the same gender, it is their turn, if it lands if the opposite, you kiss them. A way to make each spin fair. My last three spins haven't been on a boy yet. I spin the bottle, and look away. I hear the glass slow down and I turn around. The bottle spins slowly and it lands on........ James!
I calm myself, and tell myself 'you have done it before. It can't be that hard.' But then, the second rule. "If they are one of your close friends, it has to be a proper kiss, no pecking." I stand up and walk around to James. He stands up and whispers in my ear,
"I'm sorry."
"It ok, rather it be you then Leo!" I whisper back and we both laugh.
You've done it before, you've done it before.
He leans towards me and kisses me, I forgot how good a kisser he was. The kiss felt like it went on for ages, and ages. Years and years. It was good and bad, I could feel Chris's eyes on me. I felt terrible. James pulled away and everyone 'ooooohhhhh' ed. I blushed, laughed and the sat back down again. It was James's spin.
He span it, the bottle rattling on the piece of cardboard it was spinning on, the grass was to bumpy. It slowed down and just surpassed Bethany, but eventually landed on.... Chris. James exhaled, happy that he did have to kiss anyone. He had already kissed everyone in the circle. Unlucky.
Chris picked up the bottle and span, my heart started beating so fast, I began I sweat. I calmed myself down, eased my nerves. Until it landed on me. More 'ooooohhhhhhhhh' S were heard as Chris stood up and walked over to where I was sitting. I stood up and looked hi right in the eye.
"I've been wanting to do this for a while now." He said, and he kissed me. It was unbelievable. It was better than my last kiss with James, better than any kiss I'd ever had. It was magical, wonderful. He knew how to kiss. When he left my lips, I exhaled and sat back down. I couldn't stop smiling. I span the bottle, but it landed on Genevieve. It was her turn.
...
The party was over. We were all laughing about who had to kiss who, and then Chris came and took my hand.
"Come on, I want to show you something." He says, pulling me away from the track and through the field,
"Where are we going?" I ask, still smiling.
He says nothing. He moves some branches and pulls me through the trees until I see an amazing line of sculptures.
"Woah, these are amazing!" I say, squeezing his hand.
"I'm glad you like them." He says, gleaming.
...
"We should get back to the rest of the group." Chris says, after wondering along the line of sculptures.
I nod and we head back to the group.
"I had a really good time tonight." I say
"Me too. See you next week." He says and we part ways.
