Before Ryan could really comprehend what was happening, the guy was walking towards him. Ryan still hadn't stopped looking at him. Not even for a second. He was caught in the moment, this wallflower had done more than just catch his eyes. He had practically stolen them.

"Hey," the wallflower smirked.

"Uh, hey." Ryans reply was not exactly the definition of smooth but you couldn't blame the boy. He had a serious lack of social interaction in his life. He had isolated himself from everyone.
To put it simply, he wasn't used to this.

"I saw you at a party like this one not too long ago.."

"Yeah, I saw you too."

"Do you go to the university here?" The wallflower brushed a strand of stray hairs out of his eyes. His eyes were sparkling and Ryan had to do everything in his control to break eye contact for even a second.

He was terrified that if he looked away. This boy would disappear. And he couldn't let that happen.

It had been years since he welcomed a stranger into any part of his life. Usually he would brush people off. Act arrogant and rude. But not today. No, today he was going to try.

"No.. No, I don't. Do you?"

"Yeah, I jus started my second year. Oh, by the way my name's Brendon."

"Nice to meet you Brendon, I'm Ryan," Ryan smirked. This confidence was unexpected. He usually trembled in the presence of strangers. He was still.. petrified to be exact, but an odd calming sense washed over his body as he peered into Brendons eyes.

"Ryan huh, I like it. It suits you," Brendon flirted. Oh god, flirted, he was actually flirting with Ryan and quite frankly Ryan had no idea how to go about this. Brendon was really.. really attractive and Ryan was starstruck as it is.

Ryan blushed, "thanks."

"So-," Brendon started.

"Ryan!" Bob came walking up to him, "come join us. We've got all sorts." Bob took Ryans arm but let go when Ryan flinched. He was used to it.

Just then Bob looked up properly and noticed Brendon. "Oh looky here, Ryro's made a friend," he looked over at Brendon, "wanna join us?"

He looked a bit hesitant but nodded his head and followed Bob and Ryan through the crowd. They ended up further back, closer to the kitchen of this over crowded apartment. Ryan vaguely recognised a few of the people standing around there and nodded in their direction. He wasn't one to get close to people after all. They had all grown accustomed to that.

Bob turned his back to Ryan and Brendon for a couple minutes, conversing secretively with one of the people Ryan recognised. Ryan knew him to be one of the people to sell the harder stuff.

When Bob turned back around he had pills in his hand. He passed one to Ryan and one to Brendon. Brendon seemed unsure of what he was getting himself into. I mean, you couldn't really blame him. Taking random pills from strangers at a college party was far from safe.

Ryan watched as Brendons hesitant look quickly disappeared and a new wave of determination appeared as he quickly downed the pill. It had Ryan wondering. Had Brendon come to this party alone? Had his friends ditched him? Was he trying to prove himself to someone? Or was he just generally a reckless person.

Possibly even a desperate druggy. But he didn't look like one to Ryan, because he knew, he just knew what desperate druggies looked like. He had seen it in the mirror too many times before.

The swirls were beautiful and the colours made Ryan love life. And, my god, did Brendon look even better with the very fitting rainbow swirls colouring Ryans view of him. Ryan reckoned he was walking through the walls at one point. Like a fucking ghost or some shit like that. But he could never be sure. He just laughed and laughed and tripped and fell. All with Brendon by his side.

Bob had faded from his memory now. Everything occupying Ryans mind right now was the shapes and people and figures and- He wasn't really sure what was real and what was his imagination. Brendon was laughing now. He had been laughing before and Ryan could just see that he would still be laughing in the moments to come.

And somehow they ended up outside, with Ryan having fallen down on to the grass of some near by park, his back was slightly damp and he was pretty sure he was lying on some rocks but it didn't even bother him. Because he could feel Brendons presence next to him and he could feel the way the stars shone down upon them. Brendon was awfully magnificent.

Even the talking garden gnome a couple feet away could agree with that. His beauty outshone the stars by far, Ryan was in awe, absolute awe. He may not have really known this boy but he was amazing.

And that was something he could be sure of, he didn't want to, but the evidence hd piled up against him. Of course he could always blame it on the drugs, after all, when was the last time Ryan Ross felt inclined to create a bond between himself and another person, let alone spend an quality time with them. But this had happened twice. That feeling of a match almost about to be lit. That moment right before you fall for someone.

But he wasn't sure if he wanted that.

As colours started to fade and garden gnomes stopped talking he was sure this would all be clearer, but oh how wrong he was.

Because he didn't even wake up in his apartment or some random bench in a park, he woke up in someone elses bed.

A/N: I'm trying to update this story more often now. I took a break from writing and I'm going to slowly ease myself back in again. My mental health is vaguely okay. And I really want to mange this, so I'll try.
