I move quickly through the halls as there is a burning sensation running through my chest, something was wrong, something is incredibly wrong with her. With Amelia. I didn't know what it was but on the inside I had a pit deep in my stomach and I could feel my wolf pacing anxiously inside.

"Pardon me," I mutter as I barely miss a servant with a pile of clothing as I round the corner towards the medic bay.

I push the two oak doors open. "Mutter, what's going on?" I ask her approaching the bed.

She looks at me in surprise as I reach the bedside where Amelia lay looking peaceful but extremely pale.

"How-" she's interrupted by the doors once again opening and the prince along with his mother entering the room. The prince moving past me as if I weren't there and kneeling by her side taking one hand and staring at her fixedly.

I turn to her majesty. "My Queen, what happened?"

She covers her mouth with one hand shaking her head. "I don't know, we were having a talk and then she collapsed."

"Was there nothing else? Were you drinking or eating anything?"

She blinks as if trying to recall and then she looks me in the eyes. "Just before a servant brought us water."

I turn to one of the other guards and beckon him forward. "Bring all the servants that were to be attending to her majesty and the lady today."

"Sir." He nods leaving the room.

"She's so cold..." Whispers the prince and then he looks up at, Mutter. "Can we get her some more blankets please?"

She looks at him somberly, but nods and complies.

He continues holding her hand and stroking her hair, no doubt whispering to her in their mental link.

"Your highness," I turn to the Queen, "I will find the one's responsible for this."

She smiles. "I've no doubt you will," and then her gaze turns a little curious. "But how did you know something was wrong, I kept this between myself, my son, and the few guards none of the den had been alerted yet."

Should I tell her that I could feel it as if it was my own pain? Like I was the one blacking out?

"It was just a gut feeling," I bow once, "I'll take my leave."

She gives me one last look but nods going to her son's side and placing a hand on his shoulder.

I head out of the oak doors and are greeted with the sight of Elder Leopard and Alpha Nickoli heading towards me. I close the door firmly behind me and stand in front of it arms crossed. I'd been in my head so much I'd forgotten that they were still guests here.

"Alpha, Elder, to what do I owe this pleasure?"

"Erik, we heard that the future Luna had fallen ill and we're coming to check on her." Says the Elder.

My eyes dart between both of them. "Now would not be the best time. The prince is currently in there with the Queen and they have asked to be left alone."

Alpha Nickoli tries and push pass me. "Don't be ridiculous, she is-" I stop him holding my arm out.

I scoff. "Don't you dare say it... Don't you dare say that she's your daughter. Your family... You both lost that right when you abandoned she and her mother." I look at him, my eyes, I'm sure, reflecting my wolf.
