Erza versus Cobra: Boiling Anger

The Battle Continues . . .

"How long have we been walking around?" Cobra groaned. "I feel like we've been going in circles."

"That's because we're in a forest." You sighed. "Everything looks the same."

Cobra mentally slapped himself for saying such stupid things. All he wanted to do was start a conversation with you since you two have been practically walking in silence this entire time. And he failed miserably.

Smooth Cobra.

"Um, Toxin?" Cobra called you, a hint of nervousness in his voice.

"Hmm?" You hummed.

"Can I ask you a question?"

You didn't say anything at first and Cobra hung his head slightly in response.

"Go ahead." You finally said.

"Uh, well, I was wondering . . . about your real name . . and your magic."

You didn't respond so he kept talking.

"You know my real name so I was just wondering why no one knew yours. And no one knows exactly what type of magic you use so-"

"But isn't being a mystery exciting?" You interrupted him. "Doesn't it give you a thrill? And besides, it gives people a reason to fear you because they know nothing about you. And I feed off of fear."

"But-"

You suddenly stopped in front of him and turned around, your faces centimeters from each other.

Cobra's breath hitched and his heart started beating so fast, he thought it would fly out of his chest.

Your face was so close to his. And it took all of his willpower not to smash his lips against yours.

"Are you that fascinated by me?" You asked.

He stared straight into your [e/c] eyes. And you stared back. "I, uh- . . . yes." His breathing picked up as his heart pounded in his chest.

"Is that so?" You mumbled.

"Yeah." He nodded slightly.

Cobra didn't know what he was doing. All of this time he had been hiding how he felt about you. So why was he about to spill everything now? It was like he was put under a spell.

You both continued to stare into each other's eyes and Cobra brought his face closer to yours. His eyes started to drift from your eyes to your lips as he came closer. You could feel his breath over your lips as one of his hands came up to caress your cheek.

Then the sound of clanking armor could be heard coming in your direction.

And you turned your head away from Cobra, creating distance between your body and his.

"It would seem that I've found more of you." Erza said, stopping once she saw you two.

"More?" You raised an eyebrow.

"The guy who spends his time sleeping," The redhead informed, "I took care of him."

So Midnight is down as well? You weren't entirely surprised. He was strong, stronger than Angel, but he did sleep a lot.

"Guess I'll have to take care of you two as well!" Erza declared. She must be Toxin. She thought. I don't know what magic she uses, but I'll need to be cautious. Requipping two swords, Erza took a stance.

"I'll handle this one." Cobra said, walking up next to you. He was staring intently at Erza and he did not look happy.

He was pissed.

One reason was because Erza ruined the kiss that you and him may or may not have had.

Another reason was because he was emotionally hurt that you turned away. Either it was because Erza had shown up or because you didn't posses the same feelings he held for you.

No matter the reason, he was hiding his hurt under a wave of anger.

And that anger is directed towards the Fairy Queen.

I'll kill you. Cobra snarled in his head. "Cubellios!" He called. The purple snake hissed and slithered over to him.

You took a couple of steps back so you could watch the fight.

If she won't fight, I'll just have to bring her into the fight. Erza thought this and charged at you.

"That won't be happening." Cobra swung his leg out and kicked Erza in the stomach.

The impact was hard enough to dent her armor.

She flew back a few feet, but caught her balance. So you won't let me by, is that it? "Requip! Heaven's Wheel!" She flew in the air and summoned a vast number of swords, maybe 100.

At her command, the swords fell to the ground in Cobra's direction.

However, he gracefully (as if dancing) sidestepped, missing each sword as they all fell around him.

How did he- Erza couldn't hide her surprise.

The next thing she knew, a giant purple tail was behind her and it hit her. Hard.

Erza fell at a fast speed and hit the ground. As she tried to get up, a foot came down on her head.

"Don't get in our way." Cobra growled, glaring down at Erza. "You can go see your teammates on the other side. Tell Death I said hello."

Keeping her down with the weight of his foot, Cobra watched as Cubellios slithered next to the redhead and sank her teeth into Erza's arm.

The Fairy Tail mage cried out in pain, but Cubellios kept going, sinking her teeth further and further until a crack was heard.

Then the snake did the same to one of Erza's legs.

"Your unwanted presence just costed you an arm and a leg." Cobra hissed. He lifted his foot off of Erza's head and began walking away. "Toss her." He mumbled to his pet snake.

Cubellios wrapped her tail around Erza's waist and flung her like a ragdoll.

Erza fell into a lake and since her body was weak from poison, she couldn't move.

And Erza lost consciousness.
