The overly luxurious car hauled infront of a white mansion, that had quite a huge area of grass in front of it, which also had swings and slides, and a small garden, and I immediately realised that this was my home. The memories came flooding back to me, taking me by storm. The fights, the revelations, the hugs, the kisses, Mom, and Jake flooded my mind, and in return made my eyes watery.

Seeing this, Jake took my hand in his, entertwining our fingers and kissed the back of my hand. He too knew about how much all of this still affected me, but I had decided not to spoil my vacation over the past.

All of us, after getting out of the car prodded over to the door of the house. On our way, all of us snapped groupfies and selfies on the swings and laying on the grass. Approaching the door, Jake asked me for the keys, inorder to unlock the door.

Keys? I had never been handed or taken the keys from my father, or even were bothered. I was so busy sitting on my suitcase inorder to close it, despite of flooding it with an exceptional amount of clothes, that I forgot to get the keys to this house. What the hell was wrong with me? And why was I behaving like a teenager who was so busy drooling over the guy she had a crush on and didn't even bother to com--

"Whoa! Look at your face!" Casper said, in between laughs.

A black iPhone 6 screen was shoved into my face, and I looked like someone had pinched me on the face. Yeah, that weird.

"You've got to be kidding me Jake!" I said when I saw him remove a bunch of keys from his back pocket.

"Sorry babe, but your expression was worth it." He said with a cheeky smile, showcasing his left dimple which I found adorable.

I accepted defeat and gave him a defeated smile in return. Before he could respond, the door opened and a rush of sandalwood breeze came into my senses. Mom was so fond of them, that she would light those incense sticks and candles of sandalwood every hour, and when I think now, I was grateful for her to do that, if I was to be reminded of her everytime I was there in the house. It was really comforting. It now felt like a true home.

After we were settled down and got everything in the cupboards, we realised that there are no groceries in the kitchen.

"Jake, mind going to the supermarket? There are no groceries in here." I called out to Jake who was in the living room, while I was in the kitchen.

"Sure babe, when do you wanna go?" He asked as he appeared from the small corridor that connected the living area to the kichen, and wrapped his arms around my waist, and snuggled his face into my neck which was covered with the streaks of my hair.

"Lets go now, I think everyone is hungry." I said, and turned out and planted a kiss on his cheek.

"Lets go then." He said, as he grabbed his keys from the key holder adjacent to the door.

We reached Target and got out of the car. I grabbed a few things from here and there, Jake making fun of me that I had to buy pads for myself infront of him.

As we were going towards the drinks aisle, a familiar face appeared, and before I could name it, Jake and him both went in for a hug.

"Its been so long man!" He said, as both of them stood facing each other.

"Yeah man, a year now!" Jake said, laughing a little.

"Well, whose this lady?" He said, as he looked towards me with a smile.

"She's my girlfriend, Olivia." Jake replied, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

"Well well pretty lady, do you even know me?" He asked, after taking my hand and kissing the back of it.

"Uh- I, uhm sorry but no." I said, embarassed.

"Well I think we never met, so it was stupid of me to ask you. Well, I thought that this jerkhead would have atleast mentioned somethin bout me. But, no." He playfully glares at Jake and continues, " I am Shaw, Jake's partner in crime. Or should I say ex-partner in crime." He says, and then both of them start laughing.

A memory comes to my mind, at the mention of crime.

*flashback*

The sound of sirens completely startled me in my sleep. I was quick enough to see Jake being brought out from his house, along with another boy, both handcuffed, from the threshold of my bedside window. I rushed down the stairs and ran towards the door, in my blue polka dot nightsuit.

Within minutes, the sirens stop, and before I could reach the porch, the police had taken both of them to, I assume the police station.

***

After waving Shaw goodbye, we headed to home, I cooked chicken and rice for everyone and they happily obliged with my crappy cooking, leaving aside the terrible jokes Casper and Jake made on Scarlett and me.

I still couldn't rest my mind, which was constantly thinking about Shaw's past crimes with Jake. I clearly knew Jake was the bad boy. But, it didn't matter as Jake had now changed.

Hadn't he?
