"But what do I say," I asked Kenzie who was texting Sammy again.
"Just ask him if he's interested in hanging out sometime. And try and talk to him in class more. Especially if we ever have to do partner work you should pair up with him."
"Oh alright I'll do that," I rolled my eyes as our teacher started talking.
Fast forward to lunch
Kenzie and I made our way to our regular lunch table when we were stopped by Madison.
"Hey Kenzie," she started
"What do you what?" She asked in her annoyed voice.
"I want you to know that Gilinsky is mine ok? I see the looks you give each other in the hallway or during lunch and it makes me sick, so stay away from him," she said as she flipped her hair and walked to her table.
Madison has been wanting to go out with Gilinsky since 8th grade and he never had any interest in her as she kept on trying to hang around him which never worked. Thank goodness she isn't all over Johnson.
"Damnit Madison," Kenzie looked at the ground and sighed.
"Kenzie chill he still doesn't like her. I'm gonna make sure that he notices you."
"But what about you and Johnson?"
"Oh yeah, uh," I didn't even finish when Kenzie pulled me to our table.
"Hey guys!" She said excitedly. "Hey Johnson," she smirked at me.
"Hi Kenzie," Jack said smiling.
I looked at Gilinsky who was happily eating his lunch.
"Hey Gilinsky," I flashed him a smile and he smirked back at me.
"We have algebra after lunch right Mel?" He asked.
"Yep, and then I have science," I drank my water and almost choked.
I totally forgot that Johnson is in my science class. And we have a lab today where we work in partners. And even worse, Kenzie isn't even in my science class which means I'll be alone with Johnson. Crap.
