Before I start writing yes I did change the title of the story and you can find out why in the last part.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang. I was frozen with fear because it couldn't be my parents as they always go in and out of the back door. I got out of bed and slowly crept downstairs crossing my arms. I was now shaking and it was almost midnight. My parents weren't supposed to be home just yet. I took a deep breath and I walked slowly towards the door. I reached my shaking arm out and slowly turned the doorknob. As I opened the door, I was expecting the person behind it to push the door open and grab me, but I was wrong. There was no one there. Ding ding ditch huh, I thought to myself. I stepped outside to see if anyone was running away but nobody was out. As I turned to go inside there was a note taped to the door.
Have fun at school tomorrow. I won't stop unless you and Jack keep away from each other. By the way, you should really lock your front door after you come in. Unless you want me to come inside. Xx
I stared at the note in horror, my mouth and eyes wide open. I can't believe I forgot to lock the door. I was so happy about being with Jack for a day that I basically forgot about doing everything including my homework which was due tomorrow. I sighed and was about to rip the note up but then decided not to. I could save it and prove that I have evidence, if it ever comes to the point where this gets serious. Plus Kenzie is coming over and wants to help me figure this shit out.
I crawled back upstairs and put the note in my dresser drawer. I played games on my phone until I felt my eyes wanting to shut. I put my phone away and in the next minute I was out.
The next day was Monday. I slid out of bed and got dressed and all that jazz. I went out the front door this time to see if there were any more notes. Nothing which was a relief. I walked to Kenzie's house and we walked to school together for once. I wasn't sure wether to tell her about the note but I remembered about our plans for tonight.
"So Kenzie, we're still on for tonight right? I asked since she wanted to come over and read the texts I was getting.
"Course, and I think we should talk face to face with Emily's group today and ask them," she said with an "evil" grin. "I know when people are lying so this will be easy."
"Thanks Kenz."
We continued walking and changed the conversation to something less weird.
Hope you liked this and oh my god I'm almost at 500 reads! Thank you so much for reading this somewhat awful book haha.
