I rummaged through my clothes oblivious as to what I should wear. Going to parties wasn't really my thing. Considering the fact all my clothes were not 'fun and flirty' like Anirah always said. This was really not me as I sat wondering to myself if I should go to the party.

Tyler told me he was going to be home late. Not that it really mattered much, I just wished he wouldn't have one of his little outbreaks again. I couldn't stay mad at him forever though and getting me flowers was really sweet of him. Tyler and all of his grand gestures was something my family considered acceptable of a gentleman. Right now it was a huge cover up.

My phone rang.

Low and behold, my persistent best friend never gave up for anything.

"Are you ready yet?"

"I don't even know what I'm going to wear."

"Well, we'll have to go shopping then."

"I'm not sure about all this."

"Come on, don't back out now. We're going and you're going to look sexy!"

"But-"

"I'll be over in twenty minutes."

Sure enough, half an hour later, Anirah had arrived. She seemed to be late for everything except shopping.

She burst into the house and exclaimed. "Oh my gosh, what are you wearing?"

"What do you mean?" I asked confused. I was wearing a frilly green dress top with dark yoga pants.

"Don't worry, by the time I'm done with you, you'll look amazing!" She said enthusiastically.

"Thanks Ani. I really don't know what I would do without you." I said. "I guess I'd be walking around like a rag."

"Don't be such a drab." Anirah said as she glided over and fiddled with my hair which was pulled up in a high ponytail.

"We might as well get going, I wouldn't want to delay my stylist." I said laughing.

I was so used to Anirah's criticism since she worked in a fashion company. She was such a perfectionist. She expected everything to be in top notch from head to toe, from make up, hair, shoes, clothes... Everything literally. She judged just about anybody but out of her own good interest. Today, she was dressed in a black peplum dress with red heels.

Red was simply her favorite color; her fiery red hair, her red convertible and her red ruby ring which she never took off. Not that the ring was anything special (as she said), she just liked wearing it.

She insisted that we use her car rather than my little white corolla. She thought my car was 'outdated' but I loved my car. Tyler usually used the Chrysler so I used my corolla most of the time.

Anirah and I exchanged gossip as always as she drove with our hair beating our faces in the wind.

"Ready to see lots of hot guys?" She asked as she grinned at me.

"You're crazy, you know that right?" I said jokingly.

"Well I have to be. 'Seeing' is not the only thing I'll be doing at that party."

"Trust me, i believe you!" I said.

Anirah always went for what she wanted and hot guys caught her eye most of the time. She was kind of a flirt but not all slutty.

Finally we arrived at a huge green building with glass walls and huge white block letters written Four season mall.
