Like the darkness around him the figure slipped between the shadows and the darkness of the night. He hopped from branch to branch in a forest of tall trees. Once he had reached his destination he gracefully landed the jump he had made and landed in front of a large cave. He went into the heart of the cave where greeted his two mistresses. Both lounge lazily on a throne of stone, smooth to the touch with exaggerating spikes protruding at the sides.
"So have you gotten a report on how our comrades are doing?", one of them asked .
The cloaked figure replied back, "Yes but unfortunately they have –"
A voice interrupted them, "Unfortunately? Unfortunately is not in my vocabulary and I sure hope we are not going to hear of it again. With one word I can already tell that this mission has failed", she drawled. The consort trembled at the lethal calmness of her voice.
"I – ah, well, I was going to say that your subordinates have died but have managed to collect some information", he stammered. He tried to find the words to make the situation better but in fact earned more unamused and dismissing glares from his mistresses
"What good are the girls going to do for us if they are dead?", the girl snapped. A kunai was flung directly at him, narrowly dodging his head and hitting the wall behind him.
Beads of sweat were forming along his forehead, his mouth dry. He failed them both miserably. Perhaps if he were to go himself he would be able to make it up to them for his horrible mistake. If he were to fail again... he shivered at the thought.
"Go fetch their corpses and bring them back to us", one replied.
The consort bowed and turned to leave but before he exited the cave, a sickly sweet voice called out, "Oh and Arashi, if you somehow manage to fail miserably once more, we'll try to make sure that your pathetic and worthless self is as deformed and Their honey gold eyes shined in anticipation at what was to come.

Sakura stuffed her belongings into her bulging bag. She was going to need a cloak, medical supplies, water and some other spare clothes just in case her clothes were to get damaged or dirty. And of course shuriken and kunai. Once she was satisfied with the load, she heaved the backpack onto her shoulders and did any final check-ups on her house before locking the door.
Now all I have to do is find Sasuke and we'll be on our way, she thought to herself. She sprinted towards the Hokage tower, eager to start the mission that she and Sasuke were assigned to.
Once she got to the tower she encountered a certain Hyuga beauty.
"Oh hi Hinata what are you doing here?", the pinkette asked cheerfully.
"Hello Sakura I'm here to be on a mission with Naruto", Hinata said coyly. She was dressed in her mission attire that consisted of a light lavender, kimono styled top with shorts and fishnet leggings.
"That's great. Looks like you'll be able to spend more time with lover boy", Sakura nudged her playfully.
"Oh um, yes w–we will be s–spending more time with each other I uh think", the lavender eyed beauty stuttered, flustered at what the pinkette was
Sakura giggled, "Good luck Hinata", she winked.
Hinata blushed darker than Sakura's pink hair. "G– good luck to you too Sakura and thank you for supporting me", she smiled.
"Thanks Hinata and are you going to see Lord Hokage?", questioned Sakura.
"Ah yes for my mission briefing", the Hyuga replied.
