She could see everything, feel everything, hear everything. On the outside she looked like a comatose shinobi who possibly could have been knocked out cold on the spot during battle, but no, she was in deep concentration. The will to stop the spy or individual who obstructed their mission, fueled the determination and deep concentration. She could feel the chakra of the enemy, hear his breathing and footsteps.

And Sasuke lunging towards her with his Kusanagi Blade in hand.

Luckily, just in time, she whipped out one of her kunai and blocked the sword from impaling her.

What is he doing? Doesn't he realize he's attacking me? This isn't the time for games, we need to stop the intruder in their tracks, she thought frustratingly. She didn't think of Sasuke as one to play games, especially during such an important mission.

Lighting gathered in Sasuke's hand in a small ball and threw it towards her, the ball, then disintegrating into small shards of lighting. Luckily she was able to dodge them with only two or three just grazing her. His katana swung at her, she continued to deflect his attacks, each swing more fatal than the last, until at last Sakura found a blind spot and yanked on his armless sleeve, whilst pulling him close to her. She gathered her chakra and released her monstrous strength, yet Sasuke was too fast. He disappeared before reappearing behind her. The pinkette instantly whirled around only to face the deathly glare of the Mangekyo Sharingan. In less than a second she was whisked away to another dimension.

Emerald eyes snapped open, taking in the area and place in which she has been transported to. The land was dry and baron and the sky was a pasty grey mixed with a crimson red.

This is no ordinary world, this is the Tsukiyomi. Her eyes searched for any signs of life or the raven haired shinobi. Finally, her eyes casted over who seems to be Sasuke. She wanted to call out to him but decided that what he did earlier was unacceptable.

She demanded an explanation for his actions. They were supposed to be teammates. Allies. Comrades. She began running towards him, her kunai equipped. She was only a few feet away when she froze. All of her muscles seized and she lost feeling in all her limbs. This was all apart of the genjutsu. Ice slowly crept up her ankles, then to her legs. Slowly it was devouring her, it would keep on going until she was nothing more and a human icicle.

"Sasuke what the hell is going on?", Sakura yelled, anger roaring in the pit of her stomach.

The ravenette didn't respond. She could see that he inwardly sighed. After what seemed like hours he said, "I have a plan. Just bear with me".

She looked at him, stunned. A plan where you sabotage your own teammate? That doesn't seem like the best plan, Sakura thought to herself sourly.

As if he could read her mind he responded, "Part of my plan is to have you trapped in here for a while. It may not seem like it at first but I will explain in more depth when you awaken. Trust me".

It was those last words that stayed with Sakura. She trusted him with her life because she loved him. Just has Hinata would with Naruto. Except Naruto didn't try to stab her in the back or chidori her from behind but that was all in the past now and Sasuke trusts her too. She thinks.

"So what are you going to do now?", the kunoichi asked quietly.

"I'm going to face the person who was tailing us and take him hostage for questioning", he said simply.

"Oh".

He could easily take them on yet Sakura still wants to be there if anything were to happen. She wants to prove that she no longer needs protecting and that she is just as capable of capturing the enemy as herself.

The ice was up to her neck, and she was still immobilized. The small, microscopic icicles were emitting a light. Small, minuscule images were moving. One of them had a girl talking to boy, who didn't seem interested in conversing with them. Another had the girl hugging the boy from behind, stopping him in his tracks. Her gaze was intense on the little display. Many moments were playing on each small icicle. Her eyes stopped on a scene where the boy was behind the girl, whispering something in her ear then suddenly disappearing, leaving the girl alone on a bench. Tears started to  roll down her cheek. More moments kept appearing until the last one had the girl and boy facing each other. The girl seemed disappointed about something but the boy poked her forehead and said something that made the girl in high spirits.

By the time she had finished watching everything, the ice had fully consumed her. There was barely any air inside and she could barely even move. Instant panic seized her. Her chest was rising up and down rapidly, her eyes darted around looking for any weak spots that she could break, but it was no use. She was surprised that she could still breathe but she reminded herself that this was a genjutsu. She didn't even notice that Sasuke was still standing in front of her.

In an instance the ice around her head starting melting rapidly, only to stop at her neck. She was panting, her cheeks were flushed a crimson red from the icy cold. She tried to speak but only let out a rasp breath. Her violent coughs awkwardly filled the air, as she tried to regain her voice.

Finally she coughed, "How is my chakra flow partially blocked?".

"When I released my chidori, small fragments were dispersed and were aimed at your chakra points, yet you were able to dodge most of them but not all", he explained.

No wonder she couldn't use her escape justu. The cunning Uchiha thought of everything and closed off any options for escape. She chuckled to herself, he wasn't at the top of the Academy class for nothing.

Sakura's vision was slowly getting distorted. The jutsu was falling apart and the amount of time being stuck in there and the majority of her chakra points blocked, she was just about defenseless as a newborn pup.

"I can't keep this up much longer, so I must leave and don't worry when you wake up everything will be taken care of, as I mentioned before, this was part of my plan", he reassuring said.

Before she could say anything he left.

The world was slowly ripping itself apart, the fragments were like leaves drifting into the air and and then crumbled into nothing. She was so lost in observing the disintegrating world around her that she didn't notice the ice was now a pool of liquid around her ankles, yet she didn't notice one shard of ice still in tact near her foot. It was playing something that she wasn't familiar with. A man and a woman were standing next to each other holding a new born baby. Both the adults had the Uchiha crest worn proudly on their clothes. Her vision was blurred so she couldn't make out who those people were, yet they seemed so joyful to have the bundle of joy in their arms. She smiled to herself. Hopefully one day she would experience the same happiness the couple in the icicle is experiencing.

She looked up to see almost nothing. Most of the baron land had already disappeared and very little fragments were left, and the fragments themselves were crumbling into nothing. The only light source was the icicle in the palm of her hand. Unfortunately the ice itself was slowly melting. Her eyes were drooping, watching the world through half closed eyes. They stared blankly ahead until the world was pitch black. It was until then Sakura closed her eyes with the icicle still in her hands.

So sorry for the slow update! I had exams to study for and I actually survived through to continue this book. I know the story is progressing slow but there will be more SasuSaku coming up. It know the chapters were confusing but they will add up.... I think. Anyway, may the books you read be good books
