Prologue, as ive said, Jin is just dreaming about him being with his friends again.

So, is Jin just telling us about the story of their friendship. That he's the only one left behind. That when he feel so lost and lonely, that he cant fight his loneliness anymore, he then end up on his decision to commit suicide to be with his friends again.
