The title itself is already a clue. The whole concept of HYYH era tackles about the youth. We've seen on their MV's the struggles of being a youth.
In Save Me, they are putting an end to their youth. And as I've say in my previous theory (FIRE Theory) Fire is the first step of the adulthood stage.
As the whole song was played, you can here the ticking of the clock on the background.
And in my opinion, in Save Me MV that was the Neverland. Look at those dreamy and fairytale-like backgrounds.
A/N: I never make a Peter Pan theory due to at first, I honestly dont believe in that, cause i have my own theory back to then. But now upon figuring this Save Me theory, I cursed myself for not believing the Peter Pan theory. So I made one on the next update.)And this time they need saving. They want to get out of that place to wake up on that dream. They want to grow up.
Just like in RM's line.
"Thank you. Be ourselves."They realized that they cant become who they want to be if they keep on running away like they always did.
They need to be themselves for them to grow up. They realized that "Neverland" is not their place, they cant be young forever. They need to face the reality of being an adult. They need to face their responsibilities. They dont need to runaway to their past. They need to face it, to learn from it and to grow from their mistakes.
And the statement of JK's shirt
"THIS IS NEVER THAT"
Meaning "something that goes wrong or something bad. It should never happen again."
Thats their way of accepting their past and adulthood. They things they did in their past, all the bad things they did, it should never happen again. Its time for them to learn and grow from their mistakes.
Save Me shows that theyre putting an end to their youth.
And they are ending of their youth concept for their entire album.
In my opinion, Wings concept is about being an adult this time. The reality.
And i think Boys Meets REALITY.
