You continued to sit in the most boring class you have and stare at the clock, watching it go by. You hated this class, as of today, because you have to sit next to BF/N, who you just got into a hug argument about.
"Hey," you hear and feel someone tap your shoulder. You turn around and see C/N leaning towards you. "Staring at the clock actually makes it go by slower. Try writing. It's what I do and I feel like I'm in here for 10 minutes." C/N whispers to you with a smile.
Ever since 6th grade, you've had a crush on C/N. You specifically remember the day the feelings started because it was the day E/N shoved you over in gym class. C/N went over to you and helped you up, and you felt a tingle when C/N touched your hand.
"Oh, thanks..." You whisper back with a smile before turning back around to the front of your desk. You start writing a story, and you become lost in it. You look up at the clock and see it went from 9:02 to 9:28.
"See, only 9 minutes left now." C/N whispers to you with a smile. You turn around and smile back, but then you hear a loud bang erupt throughout the school.
"Everyone get down! Find a place to hide! Do NOT be in view of the door!" Your teacher, T/N, says to the class. You stand up, but you're frozen in fear to move. You feel C/N take your hand and almost pull you down to where they are.
"What were you doing?" C/N whispers to you once you're on the ground by him. T/N has just finished pulling down the blinds and turning off the lights, but you could still see through the crack of the windows since its light outside.
"I don't know, I was-" you get cut off by another bang erupting around the school. You jump into C/N's arms and lean against C/N's chest.
"Hey, hey, it's ok. I've got you." C/N whispers to you, giving you a protective hug. You hear movement in the room, and people telling someone to get down. You look up and see BF/N crawling towards you guys. You move to the side of C/N to see what BF/N wants.
"I'm sorry, for everything. It's just, if we might die I don't wanna go out not being your best friend." BF/N cries, tears starting to roll. You give BF/N a tight hug, as a sign of forgiveness. You pull away and BF/N sits down next to you.
"Look, Y/N, I need to tell you something." C/N whispers to you as you turn to look at C/N. "I really, really like you. A lot. And like BF/N said, if we die I don't wanna go out, but changing it to, I don't wanna go out without you being mine."
"Really?" You whisper with a smile. C/N nods with a smile. You lean in and give him a soft kiss.
"Third wheel over here, still present." BF/N whispers with a laugh. You both pull away with smiles.
"Attention, the man who had the gun has been taken into custody. There is no more danger present at this time. The lockdown has been lifted." Your principal, P/N, says over the announcements. Everyone stands up and gives hugs to each other.
"So, now that we're not dead, do you maybe wanna go out sometime? See a movie?" C/N asks, but seems kinda fidgety.
"Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?" You ask with a smile. C/N was going to say something, but you cut it off with a kiss. "Yes." You say with a smile.
