Chapter 1

Jade

"Hello Ms Thirlwall" the staff greets me as I enter the school doors tired as ever. I give them a small smile and a wave as I head over to the coffee maker.

"Hey loser" My best friend and also a teacher Jesy says walking up next to me and getting coffee herself.

"Hey" I greet back tiredly my body not having much energy to do anything. She faced me and put on a sad smile while getting her coffee and me as well as we walk over to one of the tables and sit down.

"What's wrong Jadey?" She asks worriedly.

"I'm tired and- well you know" I say sadly looking down at my hands.

"I know it sucks but it will pass...you just have to give it some time" she says as she places her hand on mine and gives me a warm smile.

"Thanks Jess" I say getting up to hug her.

"And who knows, maybe this year you will find a better one" she says winking at me.

"Shut up you ass" I laugh lightly as I hit her arm playfully. She shakes her head with a stupid smile on her face.

"Let's get to class" I say as we finish our coffees and head to class to get ready for the first day.

Perrie

"Perrie get your lazy ass out of bed!" I heard my moms voice ringing in my ear and then a door opening.

I groaned as I turned around so I was laying on my back and rubbed my eyes to get a clear view of my mom standing at my doorway.

"Did you forget that today is the first day of school?" She questioned crossing her arms across her chest and giving me a look only a mom can pull.

"No...I just thought you would leave me be" I say slowly crawling out of bed.

"No I don't want you to be late and Perrie please do good today, it's your first day and I don't want you getting into trouble" she says all eyebrows raised at me so I understood.

"Pshhh me? I wouldn't dare to get in trouble on the first day of school...that's what rebels do" I laugh as I walk into my closet to grab my leather jacket.

"Perrie I'm serious, I can't afford to leave work today to come down there" she warns me again.

"You won't have to" I say turning around so I was facing her again. "Il be good" I finish giving her a smile and her smiling back.

"Thanks sweetheart you have a great first day" she says kissing me quick on the cheek then heading downstairs and in no time I heard the door shut.

I walked into the bathroom to take a quick shower. After that I put on my white vans, blue jeans, and a black shirt and my leather jacket. I put my hair up in a ponytail and did light makeup before eating a quick breakfast and heading out the door.

"Perrie!" My best friend Leigh greets me with a huge hug.

"Hey Lee" I say hugging her back. Once she broke the hug she pulled back and eyed my outfit.

"Going bad today Perrie" she says playing with the collar of my jacket.

"I'm going to put my charm on today and see if I can pick anyone up" I laugh watching her expression as her eyebrows raised in surprise.

"Do you have it though? I mean you have to have it or you would be insane" she says freaking out as she eyes my pockets.

"Yes calm down I have them" I say reaching in my pocket and grabbing the pack of cigarettes.

"You do know every girl you ask out and says yes eventually breaks up with you because you smoke" Leigh states what I already know as we start walking to school as it wasn't far.

"Well maybe this year I will find someone that will stay with me and can accept who I am" I say looking down at my feet in sadness as we continue to walk.

"Don't worry Perrie you will find someone" Leigh comforts me.

"Thanks lee" I say stopping to give her a hug.

"No problem now let's get to school" she says giving me a smile as we walk to school.
