"Evil is surrounding you?!"

"What do you mean by that?!" I shouted.

"Well you see alpha. Shadows don't magically appear on their own. Someone has to summon them." All she had was worry written on her face.

"Lilian I'm not sure I understand." I confessed.

"Alpha someone is using some dark magic. The dark magic is all directed to the Luna. We need to keep him safe. We can't have objects that cast a shadow around him." she said walking up to the now unconscious Andy.

"Alpha we need to check if the pups are okay." She walked to the front door.

I picked Andy up and carried him bridal style to our bedroom. I sat him on the couch in our room. I fixed up the bed for him. I carried him and placed him on the bed and pulled the covers over his sleeping form. I kissed his forehead.

"Why would anyone want to hurt our mate? He is so fragile and defenseless."

"I really don't know Max. But who ever it is, is going to pay!"

"But we can't leave our beloved and unborn pups"

I headed downstairs to go help Lilian unload all her equipment. I carried the equipment into the mini hospital room that Lilian insisted that we have. The room has all the necessary tools needed for when Andy gives birth.

Man I'm nervous as hell. I never dreamed of being a father at such a young age. Either way I'm happy to be having my children with Andy. He's always insecure about how his parenting due to his childhood.

I don't even imagine myself having a child with someone else. The last person I wanted to have a child with was Izzy. I'm still working on finding out how she controlled us like that. Just thinking about her makes me angry.

I shrugged and focused on setting up the room for Andy. Lilian and I connected the machines and put things in the rightful order. we cleaned up and I let her do the finishing touches. My mind drifted back to Andy. My lovely innocent Andy.

"Please show me the room." Lilian chirped pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Lilian even Andy hasn't seen it yet. I don't know if it's the right thing to do." I sigh and she pouted.

"Please I promise I won't tell a soul." She begged.

"Fine." I whined and shrugged.

I walked out of the 'birthing room' and walked to the room next to it. I opened the room and Lilian let out a super loud gasp. I think her soul left her body. I looked back at her and she had tear in her eyes.

"This is so beautiful." He said with tears running down her face.

"Thanks. It took a lot of work. I wonder if Andy will like it." I sighed and sat on the rocking chair.

"Trust me he will." She sobbed with a smile on her face.

"I hope so." I sighed getting up. "How did you know about the shadows?"

"I was not appointmented as a doctor because I went to medical school. I am part witch." She blurted out.

"Whoa! How come no one knows?" I raised and eyebrow.

"Only your mother knew now you do." He smiled sadly.

"Why not tell everyone?" I asked.
"Alpha your father does not really like our kind." She whispered sadly.

"I never knew that." Why wouldn't my father mention this to me? "Since you know he hates witches, do you by any chance know the reason why?"

"It's not in my place to tell you..but seeing as your father is as blinded as you were I'll tell you."

She sat on the rocking chair beside the one I just sat on. I sat back on the chair. She sighed and looked at me with tears in her eyes. This must really emotional for her.

"Here goes. A few years ago when you were born your pack was attacked by rouges. These rogues attacked because they we're being controlled by witches. They were sent to kill you and your mother."

"Your mother was a fighter. Even with that spirit she couldn't defend you and herself against rogues let alone a werewolf. Your mother died fighting to protect you from your father's evil step mother who never wanted to see your father happy."

She ended the story with tears flowing down her face. I've never seen someone this heart broken. The story kept playing again and aging in my head then something she said caught my attention.

"What to you mean my mom couldn't defend herself against a wolf?" I questioned.

"Your mother was a human. A loving and caring one at that." She smiled sadly.

"Why would my step grandma want to harm my dad?" I asked.

"A long time ago, werewolves and witches lived happily together in this pack. Your grand father got married to one. After years into their marriage a bunch of wolves came to our pack seeking refuge."

"Among them was your grandmother. Your grand father ended up mating and marking her. This resulted in your her getting pregnant. Your grand father slowly drifted from your step mom."

"She was later replaced and vowed to be the thorn in everyone's flesh. Everyone being your grand fathers family. She took this too far which resulted in your mother and grand mother's death."

"All witches were banished from this pack. But I was allowed to stay because I tried helping your mother and grandmother survive but all it did was keep them alive until you were and your sister were born. After your birth they died." She explained staring off into space.

"How was she like?" I found myself asking.

"She was graceful, loving caring..she had this flawless beauty. She looked so beautiful and kind, it was as if she was an angel. She had long blonde locks that reached the small of her back."

"So small and fragile but strong and proud. Just like our Luna." She said with admiration. Making me wish I knew her.

"Will you tell me about these shadows?" I asked.

"Sure. Shadows are like souls but they feed of the darkness and fear. They are known to attack when you least expect them. When they are sent to do something they don't stop until they have fulfil their duty."

"How do we--"

"KEVIN! HELP! KEV-"
