"Shut it, Olivia Addilyn Burrey, you look beautiful, now can we go?" Jessie rolled her eyes at her friend, and had left the house before Olivia even had a chance to say anything.
Shaking her head, Olivia ran after Jessie, managing to trip over her own feet, which caused quite a lot of loud laughter from Jessie.
"I reckon tonight, you'll get stupid drunk and meet a well fit boy, then I'll come home tomorrow and find you passed out, naked on the sofa." Jessie laughed, nudging Olivia playfully. "Yeah, not gonna happen." Olivia ignored her friend, walking a few steps behind her.
-
"Jessieeeee, I'm gonna leave, I'm drunk" Olivia leant against her friend, unable to hold herself right,
"I can tell, see you later then, you sure you'll be alright getting home?"
" of course, be home before midnight please Jessica!"
Jessie laughed as she watched Olivia stumbling out of the club, and contemplated going after her, but decided against it when a tall, mysterious looking guy offered her a drink.
-
The path seemed to swerve and the streetlights seemed to sway in Olivia's vision as she stumbled down the dark streets on her own, and the world suddenly seemed terrifyingly intimidating. She fumbled her way to the floor, and curled up in a ball at the side of the road, beginning to cry quietly.
Jessie was always the one who enjoyed clubbing and partying, and Olivia usually just tagged along because she had nothing better to do, but usually Jessie would leave when Olivia wanted to, so she wasn't used to finding her way along the dark streets, drunk and alone.
"Hey, you alright darling?" A soft voice came from beside Olivia, but she hadn't even notice the person sit down, so she jumped slightly.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you" the voice came again, with a slight laugh this time, and Olivia turned to look at who had sat down next to her, and through the dark could make out that they had dark, curly hair, and they were fairly small.
"I'm Matty, what's your name?" Matty, Olivia thought to herself. Matty, that's a nice name.
"Matty, I like that. I'm Olivia"
"Olivia, I like that" Matty mocked, earning a slight giggle from Olivia.
"So, care to tell me why you're out here all alone?" Matty shifted closer to Olivia, and wrapped his jacket around her when he noticed her shivering slightly.
"Thanks." She smiled slightly, although she was sure Matty couldn't see her through the darkness. "I was out with my friend, she didn't want to leave yet" Matty nodded, before standing up, and helping Olivia up too.
"Can I walk you home?" He offered, and Olivia agreed, leaning in to him.
-
"Thank you for walking me Matty... Wait, how far away is your place?" Olivia suddenly thought about Matty having to walk for ages on his own, in the dark, and how it was starting to rain outside.
"Oh, Uhm, a little way away, I'll be fine though, lovely meeting you Olivia, can I get your number so we can meet again sometime? I'd love to get to know sober Olivia" Matty smirked slightly.
"No. Stay with us, I'll sleep in my friend's room, you can have my room" She offered, and something inside her told her it wasn't just the thought of Matty walking home alone that made her want him to stay.
"Are you sure that's okay? I really shouldn't..." Matty begun, but was quickly interrupted. "No, it's fine, you should stay, it's pouring with rain now, and it's dark and cold... You'd get sick"
"I... Well, okay, I am pretty drunk I guess... Thank you Olivia" Olivia grinned, and stepped aside to let Matty in.
"My room's just up there and to the left, and my bathroom's opposite" Olivia pointed upstairs, as she made her way to Jessie's room. "I'm just at the other end of the corridor, goodnight Matty"
