Harry's P.O.V
Why the hell did I just do that?! That look she just gave me as the song ended will never leave my mind now. I have to hold all these feelings back while picturing the image of her sparkling eyes staring into mine, her body pushed up against mine, swaying to the music. It was perfect. That was my chance, and I stood there like an idiot. I should've made my move.
Dusting! right! Let's dust!
"Will you help me?" She asks from across the room, standing in front of the entertainment center. I walk over to her and grab the feather duster from her, but I can't reach either.
"We need a chair." I suggest. She nods, so I walk over and grab a chair from the dining room. She climbs up onto the chair, but her foot slips and she tumbles to the floor gripping her ankle.
"Ouch!" she let's out and I run over to her.
"Are you okay?" I feel so bad watching her lay on the floor in pain.
"No, it hurts!" she cries. Tears are actually running down he face, and I don't know what to do.
"C'mon lets get to the couch." I say scooping her into my arms. I lay her on the couch, then walk into the kitchen. I grab a bag of ice and a wash rag then go back over to her. I place the ice on her ankle then wipe the tears from her eyes.
"Are you okay?" I ask again trying to break the silence. I scoot up to where she's sitting, and she smiles.
"Yea, I'll be fine. Thank you!" she says laying her head on my shoulder. I wrap my arm around her and the silence grows, but its nice. Soon, she wraps her arms around lower torso and just stays there. Her embrace feels more amazing then anything in the entire world. After a couple minutes, she lifts her head up and looks at me with those gorgeous eyes of hers. Before I can stop myself, I place my hand on her cheek and press my lips to hers, but suddenly pull myself away. Her eyes are wide with shock, and the air around us becomes awkward.
"Uhm..let's get that dusting done."
"No, you need to rest that foot. I'll do it." I say and then dust the top of the entertainment center. I walk back to her and sit next to her.
"Thank you." she smiles.
I nod letting her know she's been acknowledged.
"Leslie, I'm really sorry about that. I just.. I've been wanting to since I got back, and I...I...uhm, I don't know what I was thinking." I let out before even thinking about it.
She chuckles. "Harry, don't worry about it. it was actually kind of nice." as soon as she says it her eyes widen as to say she didn't actually mean to say it.
"I mean. Yea..." she trails off.
"Oh?" is all I can think to say. At this point, she's blushing and I find myself grinning. We don't say anything else about it. We just continue about our day like nothing ever happened. Is this it? Nothing else is gunna happen? Why does this all have to be so difficult? I just don't understand. Did it mean anything to her? I really hope it did; I just don't know. I'm just..ugh. Why does it all have to be so confusing? I've got to go. I need to think all of this out.
"I've got to head out." I say standing up. She gives me a sad look then stands up after me. She flinches as her foot drops to the ground. She puts her hand on my shoulder as support then hugs me.
"Thanks for all your help! You made cleaning somewhat fun! Until you decided to break my ankle." she teases. I chuckle.
"Sorry. I'll be more careful next time.!" I say before walking out of Leslie's house, more confused than ever.
