After throwing up a few times, I regained my composure and tried to wake Charlotte. She eventually opened her eyes.
"Charlotte! Shit, you okay?"
"Yeah....I'm fine. Where's Lucy?"
"Dead. Don't panic, I'll explain later."
"Wha-how-aaaaaaaaa-" She began panicking.
Eventually, the two of us returned to the main room. Alex was sat next to a now awake Dylan, who was blinking heavily, and mumbled "Hey" when we walked back into the room.
"Where's Briony and Tom?? Anyone seen them?" I barked to no one in particular.
"They'll be here soon. What's up?" Alex questioned me.
"Lucy's dead. Someone stabbed her in the throat."
"Shit! Shit! Oh shit!" Dylan screeched.
Suddenly, the door burst open, and Briony wandered in. Soon after Tom entered the room.
"Guys, we need to figure out what happened, so let's all sit down and try to wrap our heads round this stuff." Charlotte said.We were all sat in a circle by the fireplace again, using Alex's terrible folding chairs. Me, Briony, Charlotte, Tom, Alex and Dylan. We were all suspects right now, I reckoned.
"Lucy's dead! One of us might have been the killer." I got straight to the point.
"Really? Who would want to kill her?" Briony rolled her eyes.
"Exactly. We need to figure out who or why could have done this." Alex interrupted.
"Anyone done any shady shit?" Dylan sniggered.
The plan was to confess to everything so there were no secrets later on.Tom began by telling us what had happened to him.
"My business isn't exactly the best right now. Low on income, low demand. We sell kitchenware, you see? Not exactly a money making business. Anyway, Alex came to me for a loan a while back, didn't you?"
"For fucks sake Tom, this was supposed to be on the down low!" Alex shouted.
"Yeah well, a girls dead so privacy ain't important right now. Anyway, he still hasn't paid me back, and my business is suffering."Dylan was next.
"I've basically just been going around, doing my thing. Until one day, Tim comes to me with an idea. A robbery from the inside, seeing as the poor bastard works in a posh clothes shop."
"Store clerk, you see," I felt my secrets unravel before my eyes. I came to Dylan with an opportunity to earn some quick cash, as I was broke at the time.
"Anyway, the job went wrong, I spent a year in jail, and never got my cut of the cash."Then it was me.
"I was working as the store clerk because I was sacked. Sacked from Tom's kitchenware company. Now I was broke, so I offered Dylan the job. My best friend sacked me, and caused me to break the law and nearly go bankrupt." Tom had done all this to me, and I still held a bit of a grudge. Now it was Briony's turn.
"Charlotte had always done better than me at everything, and she landed the job I wanted in my favourite primary school. So now I have to do shitty poetry. I guess you could say I was jealous."Now for Charlotte.
"Tom was my first proper boyfriend, and it broke my heart having to leave him for university. Then i come back to find out he bad mouthed me to all my friends, family and everyone I ever knew. My whole life was over because of university."
Tom sat scornful and slightly sad at hearing this. Finally, Alex.
"I think I know who did it." He panicked.
Just as he began to speak, the lights went out.
I heard a gunshot, and braced myself for the cold embrace of death.
