Klaire has brown hair, and very dark brown eyes. She's not much shorter than Amber and she loves animals. She's also vegetarian - which you can probably guess from the whole 'I would never hurt an animal' deal - and is very thin.

Saturday, 12:23 PM.

I'll call Amber and Klaire and tell them that I'm inviting some other people to come with us to the circus... Or whatever it is.

*beeeeeep. beeeeeeeep.*

"Hey Hilary."

"Hey Klaire."

"What's up?"

"Amber and a few other people including myself are going to the 'Circus of Screams' and don't worry, it's not scary. My 3 year old cousin went and didn't even get scared." I lied

"Oh ok. Sounds alright. Where do I meet you?"

"Come to my house tomorrow. 3:00 PM."

"Ok. Bye! See you then."

"By-"

She hung up. Ok, time to call Amber.

*beeep. bee-*

"Hello?"

"Hey Amber, it's Hilary. I invited Klaire and she said she'd go. You should invite more people."

"Ok. I'll meet you house tomorrow?"

"Yep. Come at 3:00 PM. Klaire's meeting us here too."

"Sounds good. See you later Hayley!"

"Bye Amber!"

Sunday, 2:31 PM.

Gotta get ready! Amber and Klaire are coming soon!

"I'll just wear these jeans aaaaaand... this top." I mumbled to myself.

Someone suddenly appeared at my door frame.

"And where do you think you're going, young lady?"

It was my dad.

"Science project with Amber." I lied.

I knew that if he knew I was going to a creepy circus with 'a bunch of teenage brats' as my parents call my friends, he would never let me go. He would think of every single excuse in the entire world for me not to go. He's starting to sound worse than my Mum...

"Ah, ok. Have fun, I guess." He walked away.

*door bell rings*

"I'LL GET IT" I yelled so Dad could hear.

"Hey Klaire! Hey Amber!" I let them in.

"Hey Hilary." They said together, walking in.

"Ready to go?" Amber asked while Klaire was sitting on the couch. She looked nervous.

"Yup. I'll go grab my bag." I replied.

I ran upstairs and grabbed my cross-body bag and car keys.

I fixed my hair on the way out, and grabbed my phone.

"Lets go!" I said with fake-excitement.

I heard Klaire mumbling on our way out, but I couldn't quite make out what it was. I think she was scared.

We arrived at the Circus of Screams. The place looked abandoned. There was a guy standing out side the kiosk that looked like that was where we handed in our tickets.

"Ticket, please." The ticketmaster said glumly.

I handed him the tickets for three of us.

While he was registering the tickets, I saw an old man in the forest behind us. It looked like the strange man was wearing the same uniform as the ticketmaster here. Except his was dirty and ripped up.

It looked as if he'd mouthed to me 'Its not safe'

I saw panic in his eyes. His skin looked cold, wrinkly and most of all he looked as if he'd been shattered or scarred by something.

Then he ran the direction behind him as if he'd just seen a ghost.

"Miss. Miss, here's your tokens. Miss." The ticketmaster kept repeating.

"Oh, right. Um, sorry." I was too focused on that strange man back there. To notice.

Amber and Klaire were giving me strange looks as if to say 'what the hell were you looking at?'

"C'mon. Lets meet up with the others." Amber raced ahead to where the others were.

They were standing in the middle of the circus chatting their own little group.

And there stood Natalie, Matt, Will, Rose and Brayden.

Natalie has long curly red hair, dark blue eyes and a pale complexion with tiny freckles dusted across her pink cheeks. She's a little bit taller than Rose.

Matt has short brown hair, grey eyes and a slightly tanned look about him. He's about the same height as me. Lets not forget those distinctive cheek bones and jaw line.

Will has short dirty blonde hair and electric blue eyes. His skin tone is fair. And a bit shorter than Amber.

Rose is a brunette with hazel-brown eyes and medium toned skin. Her hair is long and she's very slim but short.

Brayden has straight dark brown hair and emerald green eyes. His skin tone is fair and he's the tallest of us all. His hair has been swept to the side and shaped his face perfectly.

"Hey you three!" Matt called out.

"Hey Matt!" Amber ran towards Matt and gave him a bear hug.

"And who might you be?" Brayden asked me.

"Uhhh... Ummm..."

"That's Hilary. And I'm Klaire by the way." Klaire offered a friendly handshake.

"Nice to meet you both." He winked at me while shaking Klaire's hand.

Thank god Klaire stepped in when she did. Why did I just stand there like an idiot? He must think I'm stupid...

And of course I had to trip over on my way to greet everyone else...

I had landed into Brayden's arms.

"Hey... You alright?" He asked.

"Y-Yeah." I gave him a small smile.

He lifted me up into my feet and walked away with a smirk on his face.

I'm an idiot.

Hey guys!

My older sister was pushing me to upload the second chapter A.S.A.P so here it is!

I have 5 other books waiting and I'd like to get 1/5 up and running soon! It's not going to be horror, but more romance/fantasy I guess? Anyways I'll update perhaps every weekend or during the week if I'm not busy. I'm hoping to do one chapter every week but if there's going to be a delay I'll get you guys know.
