"This can't be happening. "She whispered in her thoughts. Her dad borrowed a large amount money from a wealthy businessman several years ago and until now is unpaid.

"Lily! "She called her younger sister who is helping her run the coffee shop.

"Yeah?"

"Take care here okay? "

Then she offered the lawyer to seat and gave him a cup of espresso.

"Mr. Ross wants his first million in two weeks time. "

"Million? How come? My dad only borrowed half a million dollars. "

"But the interest Ms. Campbell, your dad also signed the contract that states that every year that the money is left unpaid will increase by 200, 000 dollars and this debt is already a decade ago which makes the total amount 2.5 million dollars." The lawyer explained and handed her the copy of the contract.

"Oh dear. " She grumbled. Her elbows were on the table leaning and her right hand is on her temple. Obviously she is totally stressed out.

"Look Attorney, I cannot pay him that money."

"Then he will continue the case in the court. Besides, this is not your problem Ms. Campbell its your father's."

"I can't tell him this! He had his heart disease and I can't even pay his surgery and...and if I will tell him about this then he'll worry and could lead to more complications."

"I understand. But maybe you could both settle this issue about Mr. Ross, he would probably give you a leeway about this. "

"You think so?" The lawyer's statement gives her hope.

"Well, I don't know Ms. Campbell but Mr. Ross is hard to convince sometimes."

"No. I think I can convince him. I hope so. "

"You can go in his headquarters."

"May I know the address?"

He took a piece of memo note in his bag then wrote the address of his building. Then handed it to her.

She sighed. Do I have to face him?

"Thank you attorney. "

"Well Ms. Campbell, I won't be staying for too long. Thank you so much. Sorry for bothering you." He said and left her coffee shop.

She sighed again, warm tears started to run down to her. How can she fix this? She loves her dad so much and she don't want him to be in jail.

She have to be strong.

It was ten years back when suddenly, their life started to become luxurious. His dad instituted big mansion, cars, and some properties. They usually go on a travel in different countries every year. Her dad also opened a jewelry shop that is been supplied by different suppliers in different countries, Columbia for emeralds and Philippines for pearls, Thailand for Sapphires, Africa for Diamonds and so on. Their life that time is like in cloud nine, but a sudden tragedy happened when their only branch of jewelry shopped was robbed and then their problems went on and on. Their house was burned, they payed their debts with all of their money and assets. They thought that their problem finally ended until, they discovered that her mom has 3 stage breast cancer, the money that their dad saved for his daughter's college was used but still her mom's condition slowly deteriorate until theres no chance and after a year, her mom died. There world turned upside down, they settled again to their old house, they lost their cars and then because of too much problems, her dad got a heart disease that needs to a surgery as soon as possible but the thing is, they don't have any money left for his operation and now, there is still a debt unpaid.

She didn't realized that she cried to  much already until she noticed it. She wiped her tears and looked at the address again.

You have to be strong Isabella... you have to be strong. For Lily and dada.

"Sir there is a woman here. He's actually here in my office begging to see you but she didn't even took an appointment. "Simon's secretary stated.

"Really? Whose is she?" He asked in curiosity.

He felt that the intercom phone hanged abit but a second after the secretary finally spoke.

"Isabella Campbell sir. Do you know her?"

The mention of her last name made him grin. It was the daughter of John Campbell. He didn't expected her in his office but her dad. But then he knew that they don't have money to pay which makes him ask for an exchange and that is the daughter. The debt was ten years ago and his not even included in the issue because the one that Campbell borrowed money is his grandpa and he wouldn't waste time chasing him to pay him and hire the lawyers and waste time with the court and half a million is just a cents compared to his billion dollar earning every month.

"Let her in. "He said then faced a glass wall that gives him access to see the full view of New York.

"You can enter his office. " His secretary smiled at Isabella.

"Thank you. "She smiled too for long last his secretary let her in. They've been arguing earlier since she can't enter his office because she didn't schedule a meeting.

Her fingers wraps around the cold knob and twisted it slowly. Her heart palpitates faster than the usual and her breathing suddenly rugged.

The door opened and viewed a man whose back is facing at her. Obviously looking at the view of the city.

"Good morning Mr. Ross. "She said slowly and calmly to get his attention.

He slowly turned towards her and when he did, he spoke.

"Good morning. "He replied in deep voice as his lips plastered a smirk.

Her eyes widen in shock. His the same guy from the bookstore yesterday!

"You are Simon Ross?! "
