"Mrs. Ross, kindly sign over here." Simon's lawyer, Mr. West instructed.
Isabella stared at the divorce papers for awhile, and shifted her gaze to Simon's determined face with a hint of hatred towards Isabella. For the last week she begged for his knees and cried, he never felt anything for her. She gave up. She was hurt. She assumed that he loved him and that hurt her to the deepest cut.
She gave him everything, gambled everything she had but unfortunately, a work can never dictate what the heart wants. After his grandpa died few months ago, he finally got his inheritance and was done with his purpose for Isabella.
It's time to let go.
"Any requests from Mr. Ross before you sign the divorce?" Mr. West asked Isabella
"No." She said weakly.
"Give her one million dollars." Simon said firmly.
"No." Isabella answered and crossed her arms.
"Yes you will."
The lawyer looked at them with confusion.
"Three million."
"I don't need anything from you."
"Yes you do. Last time I remember, you're a gold digger."
Isabella's eyes watered. Her heart tugged so much. It was too much already, laat week's non-stop crying is too much heartache. How could he think of me that low when all I did is to love him? Am I just a mercenary whore for him? The embarrassment consumed her. She feel so bad about herself. The lawyer heard everything Simon said and made her embarrass more. She can't believe that the man she ever loved with all her sanity, heart and soul is a big devil that was concealed because of her love.
"I told you I don't need anything from you!" She yelled and her threatened tears spilled but she wiped it away and signed the divorce papers.
"Mrs. Ross---"
"Ms. Campbell." Simon corrected the lawyer.
"The issue is done so I'm outta here." She stood up and left.
......
She stared at Simon's large mansion. That mansion where she had her nightmares.
She entered the mansion and got her packed luggaged. She look at the wall and saw something hanging.
Their wedding picture. The only wedding picture. The picture that cast the illusions and daydreams, an illusion that should be broken a long time ago or will cause deeper heartaches.
She took it with her. A last glance from her face from the mirror and saw a woman with bloodshot eyes and wrinkled face. She's not the same happy Isabella anymore. She was changed by an illusion. She touched her face with her fingers and saw her wedding ring in the reflection.
She took it from her finger and placed it in a black velvet box and closed it. She placed it in the bedside drawer and hid their until Simon finds it and will find another woman to marry.
She took a memo note and a sharpie then wrote.
Simon,
Someday Simon someday. I'll be a better woman than the woman believed that you will love someday. Someday, my cuts will heal and I will forget you like we never crossed paths. Someday.
This might be the last time I will say this but no matter what you did I LOVE YOU
Isabella.
The memo note was wet from a drop of tear escaped her. This is the last time she'll cry for him.
And with that, she took the picture and went downstairs then Simon's chauffeur drove her home to where her dad lives.
"Greg can we stop here?" Isabella instructed Simon's chauffeur to stop in a place where there is a pile of garbage.
"I'll just throw something." She said and went out of the car.
Their, she threw their wedding picture. There she ended everything.
She looked at Greg with a sad eyes. Greg really vied for her relationship with Simon.
She arrived to her dad's house. But not even the driver knows where she plans to go.
After she visit her dad and Lily, it was only for a farewell but she's not staying in that house. She will stay away to forget her heartache.
She will stay away from this country and follow her desires...... to be a fashion designer.
To end the bad memories is to start a new ones. To start a new life somewhere far away that she will never remember a single trace of him.
