Chapter 3:

"Hey sweetie. Good morning" My mom said while pouring milk into my cereal bowl. "Here honey" she gives me the bowl full of cereal, "thanks mom" I smiles at her. "So, why were you coming late last night?" "I was at Sam's house. Doing homework." "Hmm" my mom nods, "Good morning honey, morning Aiden" "Morning dad" He goes to mom's direction and gives her a little kiss. "Jeez, mom, dad, don't do that in front of me" "Do what? Kissing? O, Aiden when we made you, we have done a lot more than kissing-" "Dad, no!" "So, Aiden. Already thinking about joining the baseball team?" "Dad, school is like few months left. There is no time for playing baseball, playing sport and running are just a waste of time. And I already told you that I don't like sports. Especially baseball." "Why? Your old man here was the star of the baseball team back then." "So? Just because you were good at playing baseball, doesn't mean that I'm good at it too. Maybe I got mom's gene. Mom write books and I also write. Right?" "Well, yeah. But maybe you just haven't figure out your baseball talent, yet." I rolled my eyes and go to the living room, watch some TV. "I call the TV!" I hear my dad shout. "Dad, come on!" He take the remote from my hand, "Kid, I pay for this TV, AND the house. So, will you excuse me, I got some show to watch" I go to the kitchen and sit at the kitchen counter. "Honey, it's okay. You still can do something other than watching TV. Like, giving me a hand by washing the dishes? Please." "I haven't even finish my cereal, yet." "Then you better finish it, and then wash the dishes" she smiles and pinch my cheek, "Thank you, sweetie"

After I've  finished cleaning the dishes, I go upstairs go to my room. My phone rings and the dialer face shows on the screen. It's a picture of Sam and me in 9th grade at a Halloween party. He dressed as Superman and I dressed as Batman. "What's up, Sam" "Hey, dude. I got this super awesome game that you always wanted, 'CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS III' !!!" "Whoa! Dude! You serious?! Yeah man!" "I'm going to your house right now, see you in 15 minutes!" and then he hang up. I take my console game and prepare all of it. I go downstairs and go to the kitchen. "Hey, mom. Sam is coming over, can I have some popcorn and snacks?" "Sure honey, I'm going to prepare the snacks" "Thanks mom, love you!" " I go upstairs and play with my phone. After 3 minutes, I put my phone back cause there's nothing really interesting to look at. "Hey, Honey. Here are the chips, and some soda for you and Sam. We are running of popcorns" she says with her mouth pout, "mom, it's okay. Thanks mom" I smile. "You're welcome, sweetie. But don't forget to do your homework, okay?" "Okay, mom" She smiles and close the door. 

Minutes passed by. I start to really getting bored right now. I can hear a conversation going on outside my door, "Oh, hi Sam. Aiden is in his room, and I get you guys some chips too" "Thank you Ms. Harris" "Oh, and... I also make yours and Aiden's favorite brownies!" "Oh! ...Yay! You're the best Ms. Harris" I got a knock on my door and Sam comes in, "Sup, Man!" Sam comes into my room and walk to me. "Shut the door, man" i said with a sour face. "A.C., what's wrong man? are you like having your period right now?" "Don't. Just shut up. Where's the game?" "Oh yea, right here." He handed me the game and " i tale it right away from his hand "Finally. I've been waiting for this like ages! But I can't play it really long though, I have homework" "Dude? You serious? Why do you even still thinking about homework when we got this!" he says while holding the game console and pointing to the TV. 

"My mom is going to kill me if i don't do my homework.", 

Sam then scoffs, "Dude. She never even get mad at you. remember when you almost burned down the kitchen? And then you feel really bad and almost cried, then she feel bad for you cause she almost made you cried, and she bought you this really cool toy? like a robot or something"

"I was nine." 

"Tell me one time when did she ever got mad at you. just one."

And at this moment, i realized that my mom never get mad at me.
