Okay, so Moonshine wasn't the best drink but when you order like a dozen bottles you've gotta save face by downing at least one glass, right?

And by God I did. A struggle but I was never one to turn away from a challenge.

I rewarded myself with some Jack to wash out the taste, then some shots of tequila with Kenji...then whatever fruity cocktail Phil was making everyone try.

I was already on a type of high after the concert but it always became dangerous when alcohol got involved.

Dangerous was definitely the right word to describe the urge I felt to find Tina and see that pretty face of hers. Where the hell had she gone off to? I had lost track of her somewhere between the Jack and tequila if I remembered correctly.

I elegantly rose from my seat at the bar I had been at with some of the guys. Only Phred noticed my movement when I swiped the bottle of Jack from in front of him.

"Hey!"

I ignored him deciding to pay attention to my steps because walking was harder than I remembered.

Focusing was a little harder too. My eyes found someone in one of the corner booths. No. Two people. Wait, wasn't that one of Tina's friends with...

"AY! GET IT, BRIAN!" I yelled out to them and got flipped off in return.

Okay, Bruno, stop getting distracted. I shook my head a little as I scanned the room. I had found another one of her friends talking to some girls who's names I'd forgotten. Wait, there were three friends, right?

No amount of drinking could have me forgetting the struggle and near death I experienced bringing Kendra up the stairs with Phil. I whipped my head in the direction she should be.

Bingo.

"Valeeeeeenaaaaaatiiinaaaa."

She looked up in alarm as I slide down the wall onto the floor next to her like the most graceful swan ever to exist.

"That's like...the most romantic name I've heard in my life. I think I'm gonna write a song about you." I declare.

"Oh, please don't." She laughed. My God it was like angels from heaven fucking singing, that laugh.

And I end up singing probably the worst song I've ever made – like ever.

"I loved it." She answers when I ask her what she thought about my masterpiece. "That struck a chord."

I feel myself pout at her tone. "Now you're mocking me...I don't like it when you mock me, Valentina. You're not allowed to mock me..."

"Oh yeah?" She smirked and held her hand out to me. My eyes lit up, she wanted to hold my hand?

No. Her eyes were on the Jack Daniels.

Curse you, Jack, you ultimate ladies man.

I hand it to her and she scans the label with precision I wouldn't possess for at least another twelve hours if I didn't drink anymore right this second.

"What happens if I mock you again?"

It takes a moment or six to realize she was speaking to me.

"You get a penalty...you have to do anything I say." I grin.

"And why would I agree to that?" She gave the bottle back to me and I blink. Wait,  did she even take a drink from it?

"Because you're a fan now..." Wait for it. "You have MARS SARS." I shouted the last part looking around the room.
