Danny's P.O.V.
I had reluctantly followed Teton and Hiute back to the village. When we arrived, the whole village was in a frenzy. The mothers hid their children in their shelters and made sure they themselves stayed out of the way and out of sight. The men were all huddled in a circles, seeming to be in some sort of conflict.
Why are the villagers fighting with each other?
"Unhand me!"
Never mind.
I rushed towards the cluster of men, struggling my way to the centre.
"Miss! Miss!" Teton called me, chasing after me.
I ignored his call and elbowed a man who wouldn't let me pass. He sucked in a breath and bent out of the way. I pushed further, desperate to get to the centre.
I was finally able to reach the centre - nearly face planting the ground - and halted in my progress at the sight.
Theo was being restrained by five tribe's men while most of the crew fought to get their Captain free. Just as I took a hasty step towards them, Theo had aggressively ripped free from their holds. He punched the first man he could with his fist and kicked another at the same time. His face was red with anger and he was growling viciously at them. He slammed his shoulder into one villager and watched as he went tumbling to the dirt. Theo slammed his foot onto his neck, holding him there while he punched another in his ribs.
Okay maybe he is still as violent as he had been when I had first arrived, he just didn't show it as often as he had before. He's a pirate, can I blame him?
I hurried to him. I bobbed out of the way as he almost hit me, oblivious to me being here. I grabbed onto his shoulders and pushed him to face me. I took his face between my hands and worriedly shouted, "Theo! It's me, calm down!"
He froze in mid swing and stared at me in shock. His chest was heaving up and down and he was covered in sweat. His hair was dishevelled more than usual and his clothes were strewn across his body. He looked a mess.
"Danny?" He gasped out of breath.
"Yes, it's me." I said smiling brightly up at him.
His shoulders seemed to slump in relief and he broke into a breathy laugh. His arms circled around me and he rested his forehead on my shoulder, breathing in deeply. He had obviously had a rough experience with not knowing what had happened to me, especially since we had grown much closer since the last time it had happened, but even then it had put him in a frenzy state.
"Get man! He try hurting her!" The Chief's voice yelled urgently.
Theo was ripped from me and held by two large men, much larger then he was. He shouted in panic, worried they may harm me, and urgently began to tussle in their hold. I ran towards the chief and began explaining to the greying man.
"Chief Chikasha, let him go. He is my friend, he will not harm me. He is a part of the group I had arrived with. Like I had said before, we are no threat, so please, let him go."
"Friend?! He try to crush you!" Chief shouted in horror.
I laughed in realization, "He wasn't trying to crush me, he was hugging me."
"Eish." Was all the old man said, shaking his head at himself.
The Chief looked back up at Theo and as he fought to break free.
"Let man go!" He ordered.
They let him go and he ran for me. He jumped in front of me and held me protectively behind himself. He darkly stared the chief down, the chief actually much shorter compared to his men.
