Never Over

It was a long day and I was walking home from the grill where I worked. Gosh was I exhausted.

All I could think about was my comfy bed and the book I was just reading. My house wasn't too far from the grill which was pretty cool. 

Like always, my headphones were on while I walked home because it gets a little creepy when it's too quiet so basically I couldn't hear anything.

Suddenly I tripped on my own feet and my phone fell yanking my headphones with it. Darn these weird shoes! My boss was making me wear them as if they'd attract customers- they were ugly.

Please don't be broken,

I reached down to grab my phone, slowly inspecting it, when I heard noises  coming from the woods. Before I thought to go see what had caused the noise, my parents voices echoed in my head-

''Don't go near the woods alone its really dangerous."

I always laughed it off telling them to stop being so dramatic. But I still listened to them.

So I ignored it but then I heard it again even louder and I couldn't help but walk towards the noise. What if someone was hurt and trying to call out for help?

As I started walking into the wood I caught a glance of a man standing with a woman in his arms but it was too dark to make out the details.

I wouldn't of thought anything about it until I walked closer noticed the woman covered in  blood and the man was sucking it.

What...

I was so shocked, a gasp escaped my mouth before I could stop it.

The man noticed me and our eyes met.

And I took that as my cue to run.

For my life.

I could hear the man yelling but I didn't look back all I could think about was getting home and that poor lady.

''Hey you stop!'' he shouted behind me.

I just didn't stop running until I my shoes, once again tripped me. I got up quickly not wanting to be one of those stupid movie people who wait until the killer is right behind them to get up.

But he was fast. Maybe too fast. 

Soon I was face to face with a tall guy with black hair but it was too dark to see his face and obviously he couldn't see mine. Judging by his silhouette, he looked to be very tall and big. Not a good sign.
 

As the man came closer I did the only thing I could think to do. I screamed, louder than ever.

The man put his hand on his ear and I started running once again.

Before I got very far the man came right in front of me and stared into my eyes.

''You don't remember anything you saw. You will go home right now and pretend this never happened.'' the mysterious man said while continuing to  stare into my eyes.

''How do you suggest I do it exactly?'' I said trying to keep my voice steady but shaking slightly from al the running and of course the whole situation.

''You mean you remember everything that just happened?'' He asked, a confused expression covering his face.

"Can I just-'' but before I finish my sentence, the man knocked me out.
