Walking back to the car was nice.
Quiet, but not in an awkward I don't know what to say way. We were both just lost in our thoughts.
Well thoughts on what I was having for lunch because those pancakes were really small!
When we arrived at the car I decided it was time to break the silence.
"Damon... what did Stefan want to tell me?" I tried asking him in a 'I don't really care just curious' tone but it sounded more like a 'please tell me I'm dying to know'.
"You know, just that theory of his but I told him I'd take care of that." He said but I sensed something else was being held back. He didn't meet my eyes.
"Nothing else? I mean, I just don't want to hear it from them if it's as bad as it looked this morning. I hate surprises." I laughed trying to ease the tension in the car but I only seemed to make it worse because the car was suddenly flying down the road.
"Just let it go it has nothing to do with you."
Well okay then.
